Cineyug Film’s Karim Morani, will soon be joining in the inmates of the Tihar Jail in Delhi. Morani’s bail application was recently rejected by a Delhi court, after he was found involved as one of the conspirators in 2G scam.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has accused of manipulating payments to the Kalaignar TV, in which DMK MP Kanimozhi holds a 20 percent stake. A transaction of more than Rs. 200 crore was facilitated by Morani.

Morani was arrested, while the investigation of the case was going on. The court had rejected the bail plea of the accused, after Morani had sought bail on the basis of medical grounds.

Even in the last hearing, Morani had appeared in the court wearing a neck brace. According to the lawyers, the accused had just gone through an angioplasty and has been hospitalized for many days. The second charge sheet of the 2G scam had alleged that Vinod Goenka, Dynamix Realty Promoters Shahid Usman Balwa and Swan Telecom had channeled Rs 200 crore to Kalaignar TV that is run by the DMK family, through Cineyug Films Pvt. Ltd and Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt. Ltd. The court dismissed the bail plea according to the reports given by the department of Cardiology and Neurosurgery from Mumbai’s JJ Hospital, that his condition was stable.
