Anti-government protests are flurrying all over the Middle East, for people are now opting for a change in the democracy. Here in Yemen the situation is as same as everywhere else, and even the religious clerics and leaders have joined in to stand against the country.

Government authorities are blaming the media, as they are magnifying the issue in the country, but this is exactly not the case. These government officials are trying their best to bring peace and normality in the country, but the protesters are refusing to hear them.

Reports from Yemen show, there was at least one person who was killed in the clashes and a couple of dozens injured. The situation is grim in the capital city of Sanaa, where the level of revolt is the highest. The defence personnel have opted to use force to calm down and push back the protesters as a result there are several who have lost their lives and many more injured.

Yemen facing anti-government protests, President vows to step down in 2013

World

protests yemen

protests yemen president

yemen

yemen president

yemen president protests

yemen protests

The Middle East has become one of the most unstable regions in the world, since a couple of months, and this time Yemen too is facing the same sort of retaliation from the people. The country is on the verge to escalate the anti-government protests, but there was a ray of hope for the people as President Ali Abdullah Saleh vowed that he will step down in the year 2013.

The President quoted “No extension, no inheritance, no resetting the clock, I present these concessions in the interests of the country. The interests of the country comes before our personal interests.” Saleh has played safe here, before the country heads towards any type of retaliation against the government.

It has been seen in the Middle East, that most of the leaders of the Arab countries hold to there position for life, then they provide their post to their successors, this is the sole reason the people want a change in the region. But there are doubts over his statement, as Saleh has remained in power for most than 30 years. For in the year 2005 he had vowed he will not come back to power, but he suddenly changed his mind and regained his position. The only result one can see in the power will take place in the year 2013.

Yemen Arrests 3 Al-Qaeda terroists

Politics

al-qaeda

yemen
<guid
