Unemployment Falls In The UK – Says Office of National Statistics


The number of part time works in the UK has soared to a record high, as people in the Britian are forced to do more of part-time works as scheduled or no work at all.

About 7.82 million people are working on part time basis, and the numbers in jobless people has fallen tremendously, for people are stuffed into part time works. But there is a new worry, there has been a rise in long term unemployment. People are not able to find jobs that are full time or on long term basis.

The Office of National Statistics, showed that the there has been a good slip in the unemployment rates, as the figures show that it gone down by 7.8% for three months till the month of May, and it is also forcasted that it would remain at 7.9% for some time atleast. The UK labour market has gone up, from the past months, but its is still not sure whether the private hirings would increase ahead.

According to the Economist, Vicky Redwood, from the Captial Economics, stated that normal household in UK is still undergoing strong financial squeeze, which is due to heavy taxes, job cuts and low growth in income.
