TNEA is necessary for admission to the first year B.E/ B Tech degree courses which are offered in the Anna University Departments and Colleges affiliated to it.

TNEA list was prepared based on the aggregate of 200 marks, which comprises of 100 marks of mathematics, 50 marks of Physics and Chemistry each.

S Nandha Kumar from Palladam in Tiruppur district topped the list. Second and Third position were begged by B Abinaya of Erode and B Saravanan of Salem respectively.

Out of 1, 67,406 applications received for counseling, 87,877 are male candidates and 64,629 female candidates.
