Tiger Woods’ public apology didn’t seem to help his sponsorship deals in any way as yet another brand has dropped the shamed golfer.
Sports drink giant Gatorade announced that it has officially dropped Tiger Woods from endorsing their brand of sports drinks.
A spokesperson for Gatorade, Jennifer Schmit said in a statement: “We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship. We wish him all the best.”
However, Gatorade has said that they will continue to support Tiger Woods’ charity.
Tiger’s agent said: “We have been in discussions with Gatorade, and while we are disappointed they have decided to not continue with Tiger in their marketing plans, we appreciate their continued involvement with Tiger through his foundation.”
Looks like Tiger has to really show some really good results, after his scandals broke lose, if he wants to get back those sponsors.
