Toyota Motor Corp. has recalled 1.3 million Corolla cars from the US and Canada, as a part of a safety recall. Toyota made the recall on Thursday, and the recall include the Corolla and the Corolla Matrix models. The recall has been done due to some engine control module that has been improperly manufactured and fixed in the vehicle.

The massive recall includes the models from the year 2005-2008, and is due to three accidents reported due to the engine control problem. Though Toyota knew the issue but it had recalled some 200-300 cars only previously, but now it has called in some 1.3 million units.
Earlier in 2010, Toyota had recalled some 8.5 million vehicles due some technical snag in their cars. These recalls this year has hampered the reputation of one of the worlds biggest car manufacturer. Toyota will be replacing the engine control module part, and they will not be charging the customer any fee.
