The Presidency College of Kolkata, India has declared its merit list. It is learned that the college has declared the merit list in two segments.

First merit has been declared in accordance with the number of seats vacant. The second merit list will include the names of the rest of the students who are eligible for the seats according to the parameters set by the college.

The candidates from second merit list will get the chance of admission only if the students from first merit list do not turn up for the admission.

Rules for reserved categories, like SC / ST or for physically changed, remains the same. If the candidate belonging to reserve category and falling in first merit list, does not take admission, than his seat will be given to the candidate from second merit list.

A student to whom admission is granted fails to be present on the prescribed date then his candidature will be cancelled and no claims will be considered by him.
