Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman has joined the long list of celebrities who has donated a generous amount of money to help the people of the earthquake-stricken country of Haiti.

The actress also happens to be one of the five Hollywood stars who have promised Haiti $50,000-a-year for the next five years so that the people in Haiti can get their lives back to normal after the devastating quake.

Other stars who have committed to this similar deal are Penelope Cruz and her partner Javier Bardem, Bounty Hunter actor Gerard Butler, James Bond star Daniel Craig as well as actor Sean Penn.

Reports say that the donations were made at a fund-raising event held by filmmaker Paul Haggis.

Many of the biggest stars in the world have come forward to support Haiti ever since the earthquake and some include Madonna, Beyonce Knowles, Tom Cruise among others.

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is apparently planning on tying the knot with her boyfriend Javier Bardem . Reports say that the couple plan on getting married next month and the “Woman on Top” star is already shopping for a wedding gown.

A source told Zimbio: “They will marry very soon, maybe even over the holidays. Since she and Javier are from Spain, she’d love to have a Spanish designer create her dream gown.”

Reports say that the dress is likely to be designed by the House of Balenciaga – which also happens to be the same fashion house that designed her best pal Salma Hayek’s gown when she married billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have been very tight lipped about their romance with Penelope refusing to comment on her relationship status when asked by TV host David Letterman.

The actress was seen acting along side Javier in the movie “Vicky Christina Barcelona”.

Cruz appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, and was asked her flat-out if she’s engaged. However, the beauty conveniently averted each question regarding her private life.

She sheepishly told People: “I don’t feel comfortable talking about my private life in public.”

Penelope didn’t utter a word about her relationship and was seen successfully dodging all of Letterman’s non-stop questions. She told Letterman, “I’ve been here a few times with you, you know I’m tough” …One thing I don’t do, I don’t lie about my personal life, it’s sacred to me. It’s my life. But I don’t give details about it because I am allergic to that.”

The “Woman on Top” star and Javier recently starred in the movie ” Vicky Christina Barcelona”.
