In 2002, a 17-year-old boy Parthiv Patel surprised the whole world by taking up the crucial responsibility of wicket keeping for the first time at tent Bridge, in England. However, after nine years the player wasn’t given many opportunities with only 18 ODIs and 20 tests in his name.

After playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the first two seasons in the Indian Premier League, this year the cute faced boy has got a position in the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. When asked Parthiv if he was disappointed, as he was the opening batsman when in CSK, he said that he has better opportunities in KTK.
Patel said that he enjoyed being in CSK, and also got to learn a lot from his opening partner Matthew Hayden. The cricketer said that he has got more opportunities in KTK as he has many roles to play in this team.
In KTK Patel is a wicket keeper batsman. Parthiv added that over the years he has worked a lot on his wicket keeping and has improved a lot too. The wicket keeper added that he is not disappointed that the KTK hasn’t got a good start in the season, but their win against the Mumbai Indians had indeed surprised everyone.
