South Korea Warns To Strongly Retaliate Against Any Further North Korean Attack


It is now South Korea who has stepped onto the podium of summoning warnings, and its has made a strong statement that it will be retaliating strongly if there is any other North Korean attack. South Korean President, Lee Myung Bak has stated that the artillery attack by North Korea over the South Korean island is grievous crime against humanity, and if they are provoked once again then they will not fail to retaliate.

The statement by the Korean President came just after the US-South Korean naval exercise had begun in the surrounding sea. China on the other hand is calling out for peace, for if North Korea begins a war in the yellow sea, then the region would be at war once again in more than fifty years.

The recent attack on South Korea has come after quite a long time and according to the experts it is really unlikely the region may be pushed into a full fledged war. According to the US officials these statements and attacks by North Korea are just reflecting the harsh side of the country and will also forcing themselves at a risk if they enter a war.

Latest Artillery Fire Within North Korea Alerts South Korea On Island


The latest sound of artillery fire from within North Korea has alerted the South Korean forces stationed on the bombarded island. Earlier to this, the North Korean media had warned that the deployment of the US Aircraft Carrier will push the country and surrounding region closer to a war. According to the military personnel on Yeonppyeong island, they have said that they could hear faint sounds of artillery fire from other North Korean mainland.

Resources state that this firing was the first since the attack took place and could possibly be a part of a military drill. The incident has taken place just hours after the United States forces in Korea, Gen. Walter L. Sharp, had paid a visit to the bombarded island.

The United States on the other hand has announced its full support for South Korea, and also would monitor the situation in North Korea. The Korean News agencies are stating that the situation in Korea is inching closer to war, as everyday passes by. A war in the Korean peninsular would result to a huge disturbance in Asia, and this should be avoided with the greatest measure.

South Korea Defense Minister Kim Tae-young Resigns From Post After North Korea Attack


The South Korea defense minister Kim Tae-young has resigned from his post after North Korea attacked their country, and the massive criticisms that he has faced from the country for the loss of the soldiers during the shelling. South Korea has now started to strengthen its hold on the northern border and also the island where the bombardment took place.

South Korea President Lee Myung-bak, has officially accepted the resignation of the Defense Minister, as none of the political officials are happy because of his responsibilities. The ministry has also demanded the resignation of those military officials and political leaders who names have come up.

The resignation of the minister followed after the President ordered troops to strengthen their hold near the North Korea border. North Korea on the other hand has stated that it would retaliate strongly if they are provoked recklessly. The top officials also praised the soldiers who stood their ground during the firing, as they fired back bravely even though there was heavy shelling from the other side.

North Korea Can Manufacture Two Dangerous Nuclear Bombs In A Year


On Tuesday North Korea open fired on South Korea as a result it has been reported that at least one soldier has been killed and buildings and houses were on fire due to the shells. In the onset of this attack there are speculations and findings stating the North Korea today has the capacity and capability to build at least two nuclear bombs every year.

In some recent news it was also stated that one of the top officials of North Korea said that they were having intentions of enriching uranium in the country and to some extent they are doing so. Threat does not only loom on South Korea but all over the world, as North Korea has always behaved in a rude manner when it comes to speaking about nuclear weapons.

Today the country is in a very tense situation, something that was back in the year 1950. Nuclear weapon strength is something that is keeping the country’s hopes alive that it can win any war, but it is really sad for the North Korean’s that their prediction could backfire too.

North Korea Open Fires On South Korea Island Of Yeonpyeong


Situations have become tense once again, and this time the North Korean forces have open fired shells on the South Korea island of Yeonpyeong on Tuesday. In response to this, South Korea return fired to answer North Korea, as a result politicians around the region are feeling the two countries could be on the brink of war.

According to the witnesses, as the North Korean shells hit the island, many houses and buildings were set afire, and this provoked to South Korea military to counter fire. Yeonpyeong lies in a highly disputed region between North Korean and South Korea. According to reports some four South Korean soldiers were hit during the shelling, and this is now become a very tense situation.

News reports show that at least 60-70 houses were actually on fire after they were hit due to the shelling and there was plumes of smoke rising from the island. South Korea also deployed one of its fighter jets over the region, to be on hand just in case matter could have got worse. The attacks have come just after the visit of President Barack Obama and also the Seoul G-20 summit.

North Korea Sunk South Korea Naval Ship: Final Report


The final report that has been prepared by South Korea over the sinking of the Naval Ship, states that it was North Korea who sunk the South Korea naval ship in the month of March. It is now made very clear in the report that North Korea torpedoed the South Korean naval ship which killed 46 sailors on board.

The report was prepared by South Korea along with an international panel that included US, Swedish, British and Australian investigators. As the conclusion of the report, it states very clearly “The ROK Navy ship Cheonan was sunk by a North Korean torpedo attack while conducting a normal mission in the vicinity of Baengnyeong Island at 09:22 p.m. on March 26, 2010″

The report does not state that the ship was sunk because of a torpedo, but rather by a shock wave that was created because of the explosion of a torpedo that took place nearby the ship. The explosion of the torpedo was so strong that it rip the Cheonan into two, and it eventually sunk.

North Korea Leader Kim Jong Il Shows Interest To Resume The Six Party Talks


The North Korean leader, Kim Jong Il has shown positive interest to resume the six party talks over the Nuclear issue. He has stated that he will like to have these talks as soon as possible at an earliest date, along with a close corporation with China.

Mr. Kim was in China recently and has spoken to the Chinese President, Hu Jintao. He stated that he wants to have talks and help ease out the tensions in the Korean peninsular. N. Korea has become a prime axis recently in context of their nuclear development.

Kim Jong Il himself told the Chinese media that he wants to ease out the ongoing tension in the Korean Peninsular, by continuing the six party talks. The North Koreans had warned S. Korea that will start a holy war if they continued to have naval exercises with the US. This statement created a blur in the Korean peninsular and there was strong condemnation from the world leaders.
