North Korean Leader Kim Jong Il Appoints Son On A Head Post


Kim Jong Il, leader of North Korea has promoted his son Kim Jong Un, to be the Chairman of Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party. It has been reported that Kim Jong Il’s health has started to deteriorate recently and that he feels that his succession needs to be secured. Kim Jong Un is the third and the youngest son of leader.

The US authorities have stated that these moves by the North Korean leader is started to slowly unfold, firstly the relations of the country has started to spoil with other major countries, like South Korea and specially the western countries. Kim Jong Un will help the country in its nuclear programs development, which has become a very controversial issue in the past years and also to help maintain the 1.2 million troops North Korean Army.

Kim Jong Un, 27, has received Swiss based education in the Europe, and he looked the more worthy successor to the leaders post. Kim Jong Il on the other hand is said to have been having frail health after ruling the country for almost 30 years. For Mr. Il, it looks that this will be the right time to transfer his powers to one of his own close ones as soon as he can.

North Korea Leader, Kim Jong Il May Appoint Son As The Next Leader


North Korea leader, Kim Jong Il may appoint his son, Kim Jong Un as the next leader of Korea. The leader just promoted his son to a four-star General in forces, which can also be seen as an affirmation, that he could be very well be the next North Korea leader. The announcement has come from the leader just hours before the Workers Part meeting.

Kim Jong Il, who has led North Korea for a really long time now, has been reported to be having really bad health. It was known that the leader’s health was seen to be deteriorating since some time now. As a move to secure his legacy, he has appointed his Son Kim Jong Un to a top post in the forces which can indirectly be seen as a succession to the leader’s post.

Very little information has been known about the Kim Jong Un, as it is only known that he is currently 27 years old, has had Swiss education and is the third and the youngest son. In another view for an upcoming new leadership is needed in North Korea is to see the future of Nuclear program development in the country and to secure the nation by the recent growing tensions between North Korea and South Korea and also with the west.

North Korea Leader Kim Jong Il Shows Interest To Resume The Six Party Talks


The North Korean leader, Kim Jong Il has shown positive interest to resume the six party talks over the Nuclear issue. He has stated that he will like to have these talks as soon as possible at an earliest date, along with a close corporation with China.

Mr. Kim was in China recently and has spoken to the Chinese President, Hu Jintao. He stated that he wants to have talks and help ease out the tensions in the Korean peninsular. N. Korea has become a prime axis recently in context of their nuclear development.

Kim Jong Il himself told the Chinese media that he wants to ease out the ongoing tension in the Korean Peninsular, by continuing the six party talks. The North Koreans had warned S. Korea that will start a holy war if they continued to have naval exercises with the US. This statement created a blur in the Korean peninsular and there was strong condemnation from the world leaders.

New Nuclear Talks Begin Between China And North Korea Leader Kim Jong Il


China has begun a new phase of talks over nuclear disarmament with their neighbor North Korea, as Kim Jong Il is in Beijing. But even though the stalled Six Party talks have been resumed, Japanese officials state that there are still some obstacle left after North Korea agrees to sit and talk about the nuclear disarmament.

These talks have been boosted after South Korea insisted China to begin the talks once more, after N.Korea had declared a start of a Holy War. South Korea says that it does not want to start the talks for the sake of starting the six party talks, but it wants serious actions after this.

North Korean officials have refused that they will be in a position of a nuclear war with S. Korea, but they had declared during the naval exercises that they could declare a holy war against the S. Koreans. N.Korea has done considerably development in the field of nuclear weapons, as it conducted nuclear tests in the year 2006 and 2009, which was condemned by many nations of the world.
