Actor Matt Damon is now all set to turn to direction in a new venture. Damon has joined the actors like George Clooney Denzel Washington and Ben Affleck, who have turned to direction. Damon is planning is directorial debut along with John Kransiski of The Office fame.
Damon is also starring in the film, which is about a salesman, who relocates to a small town which changes his lifestyle. The actor will be playing the role of the salesman, while John’s role in the movie is not yet announced.
The 41 year old actor was for a long time searching for a potential directorial venture. The project is yet to be titled and is reportedly a mid budget drama.
Sources from the production unit have said that the movie is budgeted at £12 million. The script of the movie is currently under process and is expected to be complete by next month. The film will be produced by Chris More and will be set up by Kransiski’s Suday Night Productions company. The makers have panned to shoot the movie at the East Coast. Damon has earlier also won an Oscar for the original screen play of the movie ‘Good Will Hunting’ of Miramax. Currently, Matt is filming for ‘Elysium’ opposite Jodie Foster.
