American pop singer Lady Gaga’s YouTube account was on Thursday suspended. The singer had reportedly infringed some of the copyright policies of the portal, due to which the account was suspended.
The notice that was released by the company had said that the account was done as the user had infringed multiple or severely violated the copyright policies of YouTube. However the company had refused to comment.
According to the policy of YouTube, the account would be suspended in case of three if the policies are violated. The reports have said that the infringing video was uploaded just recently, in which Gaga is seen performing on Fuji TV.
The singer has three accounts and the one which has been suspended is ladygagaofficial. The account that has been suspended is managed by the camp of Gaga. Gaga also has a Vevo account. The Vevo account maintained by her has 1.6 billion views. The account is usually operated to debut her videos. Vevo is a similar music video platform, which is co-owned by Sony Entertainment and Universal Music Group and distributes videos on YouTube. The police of YouTube has said that is the violations are restored or corrected then the account can be restored. It is expected that the suspension of Gaga’s account is temporary.
