Singer Katy Perry has shot down all claims that she is pregnant. The singer who recently got engaged to boyfriend Russell Brand in India,cleared the air via Twitter.

The rumor surfaced when the “I Kissed A Girl” singer was seen apparently shopping at baby stores with fiance Russell Brand.

She replied to one of her followers on Twitter saying: “ur gonna make me cry, maybe that’s my period tho. THAT’S RIGHT I’M BLEEDING. Face. Better luck next month peepz.”

So it looks like this singer is not going to be a mother anytime soon.

Katy and Russell have a much publicized romance and are known to have got engaged barely a few months after dating.

She will be one of the celebrity judges on this season of American Idol.

Comedian Russell Brand is said to have given his girl friend Katy Perry an engagement ring just in India’s Pink City – Jaipur, Rajasthan.

According to a source, Russell and the “I Kissed a Girl” went to the Taj Mahal in Jaipur, India where they spent their new year’s eve and got engaged on their romantic trip.

A source said: “They wanted to take part in a traditional ceremony and thought there was no better time than on New Year’s Eve. The ceremony is usually used to bless new couples in the hope it might lead them toward marriage”.

The couple have been in a relationship since September after they apparently meeting at the MTV Video Music Awards. Katy Perry made her romance with Russell public at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November last year.

Comedian Russell Brand, who started dating the Katy Perry in September this year has lashed out rumors that the couple were going through a bad time and said that they are “happy together”.

According to reports, he told GMTV: “There was a deep craving within me. I mistook it for lust. I thought I was promiscuous. It turns out I was thorough. It’s really nice and relaxing (being in a relationship).”

When asked about his plans to marry the “I kissed a Girl” singer, Brand said: “I don’t know. That would be good. I do want to have children”. (Even though he had previously said that he would want to marry her).

Brand also spoke about the fact that he plans on getting a pet passport for his cat!

Katy Perry is known for making headlines every time she appears on a show, and it was no different at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.

She was seen in a very stylish gown on the red carpet and was then seen opening the show with tribute to Liza Minnelli in Cabaret, which was then followed by her adorning her own wild and crazy outfits.

Katy even sang a part of Poker Face by Lady GaGa.

Katy Perry who wore giant stilettos to the show said, “”They say if men have big shoes they have big… The confusing thing is I borrowed this from Lady Gaga!”

Russell Brand, who is currently dating Katy Perry, praised her for the West Ham basque,knickers and garter that she wore while hosting the MTV European Music Awards.

This is the second time Katy is hosting the show and is reported to have managed a 12 costume change this time!
