Dr. Tathagat Tulsi Age 22, Youngest Professor at IIT Bombay


Tathagat Tulsi at the age of 22 has becomes a professor at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, which is one of the many prestigious colleges in India. Tathagat is going to teach Physics at the institute.

Tathagat Avtar Tulsi, a native of Patna is going to be the youngest teaching staff that has been recruited by the institute up till now. He got over with his high school when he was just nine years old, completed Bachelor of Science when he was 10 and was a post graduate in science at the age of 12.

At the age of 21, he was through with a PhD in Quantum Computing from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Tathagat said,

“My dream is to set up a lab focused on quantum computation in India, and one day help develop a largescale quantum computation-based supercomputer. IIT Bombay offers me these possibilities.”

Tathagat chose to teach in IIT although having being offered lectureship at Waterloo University, Canada.
