As India nears its Independence Day, people are becoming more and more nostalgic. The film industry has given many films based on the ‘love for nation’ to the masses in the past and continues to do it so, now as well. There are also many ‘Desk Bhakti Songs’ (patriotic songs) that have been penned down.
‘Aye Mere Pyare Watan’ is one song that brought tears in the eyes of the free India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, when sung by the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar.
National Anthem of India, ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is something that some schools have made it a point to sing daily. So the feeling of patriotism is not limited to the Independence Day or Republic Day.
