The passing away of legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor from congestive heart failure, marks the end of a golden era. She was 79. The violet eyed beauty known for her acting talent, her charity as well as her multiple marriages had been hospitalized since February.

In the prime of her career and fame she became the highest paid actress in Hollywood and was considered the most beautiful woman on planet earth.. Acting accolades that came her way include two Oscars. Her marriages and romances created as much interest as her films. Elizabeth Taylor’s much publicized marriages to Richard Burton (she was married to him twice) gave the gossip magazines enough fodder to feed on.

Later, in life, Liz as she was also called, involved herself in a lot of charitable work. A defender and fighter for the AIDS cause she helped raise money for it. Her business acumen was not far behind as she launched her own perfume and made a fortune.

She remained evergreen to the end, even defying age to a great extend.
