Dell Inc. has made an official announcement stating that it will be acquiring the business software firm, Boomi, as the company is looking forward to make its presence strong in the corporate sector. Boomi is a firm that develops Web-based business-software applications, which helps the transfer of data of the firm smoothly running in remote locations and also on site.

The company was founded in the 2000, and its major clients include, Salesforce.com Inc. and NetSuite. Rival International Business Machines Corp. Dell on the other hand has not disclosed any sort of financial informations or agreements made between the two companies.
Many technology companies in the US are looking forward to make a concrete hold in the data center market including Dell. Recently Dell was in a bid war along with Hewlett Packard, to purchase the data storage provider company, 3Par. The Dell CEO had disclosed about the company’s acquisition of a cloud service providing firm on Tuesday, at an event in Hong Kong.
