The 55th Filmfare Awards 2009 took place on 28th February 2010 at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai India.

The Filmfare Awards is one of the biggest awards for the Indian film industry. and is considered to be the Academy Awards of India. Actors Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were the hosts for the event.

Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan won best actor and actress respectively.

When shooting a very important scene in Santa Fe, Babara Mori and her co-star Hrithik Roshan had a very passionate kiss and ever since then, the Indian actor apparently cannot forget the lovely Mexican beauty.

If reports are to be believed, Hrithik has confessed to good friend Karan Johar that he finds himself torn between Barbara and his wife Susanne.

Reports say that unlike the calm person he was before, Hrithik has now become a party animal: “Hrithik used to be one of the most balanced people around but suddenly one hears that he and his cronies, which include several well-known names, party almost every night and some of the things that go on there are alarming. Everyone in the industry knows about this, but no one will talk.”

Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori star together in the movie “Kites” which is about an Indian boy’s romantic affair with a Latina girl and their situation as they do not understand each other’s language.

One of Bollywood’s much anticipated movie of this year will be released.

“3 idiots” which stars Oscar nominated movie “Lagaan’s” lead actor Aamir Khan is all set to be released on Christmas Day.

The Indian film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and has Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Boman Irani in the lead roles .

The movie has created a lot of buzz in India and Asia thanks to it’s impressive promos and songs that have already been released.

The movie 3 Idiots circles around 2 friends who search for one of their long lost friends and what ensues is a comedy of ideas and a riot of laughter.

“3 Idiots” is already ranked number 1 in the movies to look out for in 2009.

India’s Priyanka Chopra who is a former Miss World and Bollywood actress will be one of the judges for the Miss World 2009 pageant on December 12, 2009.

The 59th Miss World Pageant takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Miss World 2009 finals takes place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

China’s leading TV presenter Angela Chow and South African TV host Michelle McLean will be the hosts for the night and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra will also be a part of it.

Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World crown back in 2000 and is now one of Bollywood’s famous actresses. She has acted in a number of films in India as well as commercials.

The Bollywood movie Tum Mile was released today. Tum Mile is based on the time when Mumbai was in deep waters floats on a superficial story. Nevertheless the civilized direction by Kunal Deshmukh made it viewable and pleasant.

Tum Mile is mainly a love story where the Bhatts keep the focus mainly on the romance between the lead actors- Emraan Hashmiand Soha Ali Khan. Critics say that the chemistry between the couple is quite comfortable.

Emraan Hashmi comes up with a good and balanced performance and so does Soha Ali Khan. Soha also impresses us with her new role.

Tum Mile is a journey to the past and present life of two ex-lovers. The movie portrays the ex-lovers changing personalities, attitudes and love.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and London based businessman Raj Kundra have announced that they will be getting married on November 22, 2009.

Tarun Tahiliani, the famous Indian designer, has designed Shilpa Shetty’s wedding costume.

According to reports, Shilpa’s wedding schedule includes the Hindu wedding rituals such as Sangeet and Mehndi -which will be performed at her friend, Kiran Bawa’s bungalow.

Shilpa seems to be experiencing mixed emotions as her wedding draws near and even posted this message on her blog saying, “I’m going through a lot of mixed feelings, happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well, I miss my sister and hoping that she’ll be out soon in my last few days at home”.

Shilpa’s sister  Shamita is currently participating in the Indian version of Big Brother called Big Boss.

Shilpa Shetty has been one of  India’s top actresses having won Big Brother and has even hosted Big Boss season two.
