Former President of the United States Bill Clinton was hospitalized in a New York hospital on Thursday night after experiencing chest pain.

According to reports, the 63 year old former President complained of chest pains earlier in the day after which he was admitted in hospital.

Doctors have allegedly replaced two stents in one of Clinton’s coronary arteries after it got blocked. Clinton had a bypass surgery 5 years ago and this is the first time since then that he has been admitted for this condition.

Clinton’s advisor said he was doing fine and will be back to work on Monday.

His doctor said that there was no sign of a heart attack and that after the procedures, the former President will be back in shape.

Some reports say that his recent trip to Haiti must have caused this condition.

He has now been released from hospital

Titanic actor Leonardo DiCaprio is yet another celebrity who has come forward to donate money to the Haiti relief effort. Reports say that the actor has donated $1 million to help victims of the destructive earthquake that hit Haiti last week.

The donation will be sent through the Leonardo DiCaprio Fund and will provide relief efforts in addition to infrastructure projects.

Former US president Bill Clinton said “I am grateful for the generous gift Leonardo DiCaprio and his Foundation have made in support of our Clinton Bush Haiti Fund around the world of all means, this support will go a long way to help save more lives, reach more people with emergency assistance, and help the Haitian people build their nation back stronger and more secure than it was before the earthquake.”

Other actors like George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Wyclef Jean, John Travolta  have already contributed generously to relief work in Haiti.

Chelsea Clinton has announced that she plans to get engaged to her boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky.  The good news was made known to friends and family via e-mail.

The e-mail was sent on Friday and it was as follows – as reported by ABC News:
“We’re sorry for the mass e-mail but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc.”

Marx Mezvinsky, also comes from a political background just like Chelsea. They met in D.C and then studied together in Stanford University.

Chelsea Clinton is the daughter of former President of the USA – Bill Clinton and current Senator of State – Hillary Clinton.
