At last the Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange has been freed for the Jail in UK, as the UK court officially granted him bail. On the other he is now wanted in Sweden for the allegations of rape. The court granted him bail after he had paid £200,000 in cash and an addition £40,000 for his guarantee, which will be paid in two instalments of £20,000 each.
Justice Duncan Ouseley was the man of law who presented Julian Assange a formal bail but has said that his movements will be kept under strict conditions. Assange was wearing a dark grey coloured suite in the court, and he had arrived in a white coloured prison van.
Justice Ouseley said “The history of the way it [the case] has been dealt with by the Swedish prosecutors would give Mr Assange some basis that he might be acquitted following a trial”. One of Assange’s lawyers stated that his bail amount has already reached the banking system to be processed. Assange has received his bail but will still be staying at the Wandsworth prison for at least one week, as the prosecutors would be receiving a notice of appeal.
