The dusky model Anjali Lavania, who had sizzled in the Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt, will soon be seen in a Telugu movie. The model has been roped in to play the second lead in the movie The Shadow.

Lavania had grabbed the second runner up spot in the Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt 2011. The actress said that she was initially over weight and had reduced with the help of meditation and yoga.

The movie will be directed by Vishnuvardhan, who is a Tamil film maker and will be venturing a Telugu movie for the first time. The female lead role will be played by actress Sarah Jane Dias, who was previously seen in the movie Game opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

The Shadow will be produced under the banner of Sanghamitra Arts and Arks Media Arts. The other lead roles in the movie will be played by Jackie Shroff and Adivi Sesh. After Anjali claims the role in the Telugu movie, it has been proved that pageants like the Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt are like a launching pad for talents like Anjali Lavania.
