Santa Clause, when someone recites this name, Christmas come into the mind and the picture imagined will be of gifts and children. But the question remains, who and where did this person come from?. If we pull ourselves out of world of folklore, history takes us to far South Europe, from where this tale exactly began. The word Santa Clause comes from ‘Sinterklaas’ which is Dutch in origin and to be precise, he is also remembered as ‘Saint Nicholas’.

According to some Christian origins, Santa Clause speaks about Saint Nicholas of Myra, which is now in modern day Turkey. It is because he was a very kind person towards children he became a part of a legendary person called Santa Clause, which originated from the Dutch word Sinterklaas.

He was well known in the region of Myra because he was very generous to the poor people and especially the children, to whom he distributed gifts and other things. After he passed away the Catholic power or the Pope had ordered to find Saint Nicholas’s relics, and preserve them. They found it and have now been kept in Bari, Italy. Christmas is a moment of joy, faith and love, and it should be celebrated with everyone with a wonderful heart. There are many who do not have much to share, but a Christmas Greeting and Wish will change everything in their lives.

This season, people go shopping to buy gifts and other articles for their families and loved ones, and this is something unique that can be seen in most of the Christian nations around the world. Christmas should not only be taken as a time of holiday and celebration, but it is the time when our Lord Jesus Christ was born, and he was the one who delivered us from our guilt of sins. We should remember him in every Christmas and keep him as the centre of our motivation this season.

Here are some wishes and greetings that one can share with everyone celebrating this Christmas -

Bless us Lord, this Christmas, with quietness of mind; Teach us to be patient and always to be kind.

You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough. Author : Frank Crane

A lovely thing about Christmas is that it’s compulsory, like a thunderstorm, and we all go through it together

A Christmas candle is a lovely thing; It makes no noise at all, But softly gives itself away; While quite unselfish, it grows small.

German Doctors Claim To Have Found A Cure For HIV

The notion itself mesmerises many people as if it is really possible or not, but some German doctors and researchers have claimed that they found a cure for HIV. Stem cell transplant or bone marrow transplant can keep a solid base to recover from HIV. In the year 2007, a patient had received a marrow transplant and in addition to that he was HIV positive, but as years passed it is witnessed that he has been actually cured from the disease.

Thomas Schneider of Berlin Charite hospital and colleagues stated that the particular patient had HIV and Leukaemia together, and in the year 2007 he had received a bone marrow transplant through a donor. It is now said that this patient has been freed from HIV and the virus is not to be seen anywhere in his body.

The team wrote in the medical journal called ‘Blood’, that they feel a cure for HIV has been found through this patient. The process need to destroy ones own bone marrow and then replace it with the donor’s, then it will be taking months of recovery where the marrow starts to submit itself to the patient’s immune system.

Justice Ouseley said “The history of the way it [the case] has been dealt with by the Swedish prosecutors would give Mr Assange some basis that he might be acquitted following a trial”. One of Assange’s lawyers stated that his bail amount has already reached the banking system to be processed. Assange has received his bail but will still be staying at the Wandsworth prison for at least one week, as the prosecutors would be receiving a notice of appeal.
