It can be said that the platform of Dancing With The Stars is like a launch pad for the celebrities who are not so popular. The new batch of the celebrities for the latest season has been revealed and it has some small time celebs participating this year.

The new batch includes a bunch of celebrities which consists of TV personalities, talk show hosts, athletes and C-list actors. The new list includes the forgotten rapper Ron Artest, Kourtney Kardashian’s brother Rob Kardashian, orator JR Martinez, women’s soccer goal keeper Hope Solo, actress Kristin Cavallari and Italian actress and model Elisebatta Canalis.

The stars for the new season of the reality show also include concert host Carson Kressley, transgender rights advocate Chaz Bono, Chynna Phillips, actor David Arquette, Nancy Grace and Ricky Lake. The 13th season of Dancing with the Stars will premier on 19th September 2011 at 8 pm on ABC.

Some of the stars, after the announcement, had shared their thoughts on participating. The show host of HLN, Nancy Grace said that it would be easier to report live on TV than being in live news for falling while rehearsals. While David Arquette said that he loves to dance and entertain and that he cannot find a better place than the show to do it.

On Wednesday, a 42 year old manager of a dry-cleaning business was sentenced to 95 years to life in Santa Ana. Jaime Zamora Ramirez was accused of rape of two women, which also included a 17-year-old, who worked for him.

According to the prosecutors, the teenager, who lived in the country illegally, was raped by Zamora in July 2009. So the manager had also took the advantage of the situation of the victim.

Jennifer Walker, the Orange County Deputy District Attorney, had said that Jaime had blackmailed the girl, as he had known that she was undocumented. The accused had told the victim that no one would believe her if she had reported that matter to the cops.

The prosecutors had then disclosed that the teenager had then told the incident to the co-workers, who had insisted her to report the matter to the cops. Before the 2009 incident, the manager had also raped a friend, in October 2008, with whom he had gone dancing. The case was being investigated but the accused was not charged when the minor had come and reported the matter. The jury had then found the accused guilty in both the cases, where he had committed sexual offenses.

After the search engine giant Google introduced its social networking site Google +, its name policy has restricted the users a lot. When its policies are compared to the other internet usage policies, it represents a problem.

Google + has put up a condition that the users must sign up only with the name by which they are referred in real life. In defense the social network said that it only has the user’s best interest at heart.

But Google does not realize that it is not doing good enough by making the policies inflexible. It is taking away the opportunity of the comfort of the user to portray himself online.

Further the social network has also insisted that the users must not use offensive names. It has been opined that the user must not be forced such inflexible policies by the social network. On the other hand Google must allow the users to portray themselves by fake or real identities. The decision of the users must not be interfered by the social network. With the pseudo names online the users feel secured enough while interacting with the other users on the internet. With the new policy of the social network, the social network might even get less users in future.

Despite heavy rains, workers of India’s Congress party and farmers had gathered on Friday for the ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’, which marked the four day foot march in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. Several farmers from in and around the village of Aligarh, travelled in buses, tractors and trucks in the village.

Many of them have even arrived in the wee hours at the Nomaish ground under tight security. The heavy rains had lashed all the arrangements that were made for the meeting. There were also reports of water clogging and the tents that were made water proof were destroyed by the rains.

The tents were erected for Rahul to address the crowd. But as soon as the rain stopped, the crowd gathered again. The VIPs who had attended the meeting included, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, Union Ministers Sachin Pilot and Jitin Prasan and Rita Bahuguna, the state union president.

JP Singh, the senior Congress leader from Meerut, had said that they have come here as they are hopeful that Rahul’s leadership would bring a change in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Popular socialite and actress Kim Kardashian , has recently said that her fiancé Kris Humphries is as excited to start planning their wedding as she is. Kris and Kim are these days planning to get married after they had done the pre-nuptial agreements.

The 30 year old reality TV star said that Kris is really keen on getting in to the preparations. Kim disclosed Kris’s eagerness at the Glamous Women of the Year Awards in Berkeley Square Gardens in London.

Kardashian added that when they get home, they would start the planning of the much awaited wedding and would have some meeting to plan and distribute work. The actress is currently in UK to promote her fragrance.

Kim had even disclosed that till now no date or theme has been decided for the wedding. The actress added that when they would plan, her mother and Kris would be on speed dial. Kim said that she has full confidence that her mother would help her when she is travelling and that her sisters too are excited for the wedding. Humphries had proposed Kim at her Beverly Hills residence, which couldn’t have been more perfect for the actress. Kim had said that the moment was everything that she had dreamt of.

American octomom, Nadya Suleman, who had given birth to octuplets in January 2009, has put her fertility doctor in trouble. Dr. Michael Kamvara had implanted Nadya with 12 embryos, just because she had insisted.

But the act has now put Kamvara in trouble. The fertility specialist is now struggling for his medical license. The Medical Board of California have declared that the medical license of Kamvara has been revoked, which will take effect from 1st July 2011.

In the month of February it was reported that the judge had recommended to put the doctor for five years of probation, as the specialist is not likely to repeat the same mistake again with any other patient. But the board members has insisted that the case of Suleman’s is not isolated and that the same things was done, not once,
not twice but three times.

As the act involves repeated negligence, the board kept their decision as constant. Suleman had reportedly insisted to have so many embryos at once, which are above the normal level for the woman of her age. Suleman had even promised that she would reduce the number if too many had become viable. The doctor has said that he realizes his mistake in all the cases and had cried for an apology in the court last year.

Today is ‘World No Tobacco Day’, just to remind people to quit the deadly habit, before it takes the toll on your health. The day is observed around the globe by organizing different seminars and programs to create awareness about the ill effects of tobacco.

In Chennai, India, the day was observed by the general hospital of the city government, by organizing a human chain. All the doctors, medical students, nurses, nursing students and even workers had participated in the human chain in front of the Madras Medical College.

The participants had tried to spread the word that tobacco in any form is injurious to health. This year the theme was ‘Framework Convention on Tobacco Control’. The ill effects of tobacco are so deadly that it kills one person every six seconds in the world.

Dr. Chadra Mohan from Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital had said that 80 percent of the smokers in the world live in the under developed countries like India. India alone has 27 percent of tobacco users. According to a survey by the WHO, tobacco kills almost half of its users. It has also been predicted that by 2030 13 percent of the deaths caused, will be due to the consumption of tobacco.

The whole US is right now in a celebration mood, after the death of the criminal Osama Bin Laden. Bin Laden has been gunned down by the US officials in Pakistan. The criminal was surprisingly found just 40 miles from the capital of Pakistan.

Earlier, there were reports that Bin Laden was hiding in a cave, but later with the help of a clue in August, it was found that he is living in a huge mansion worth a million. The mansion was guarded by Bin Laden’s men and also had his wives and children.

The house where Laden was hiding had high windows and a very few access points. After a firefight between the US officials and the men the officials gunned down the men as well as Laden, in the fight. A helicopter of the US officials was also damaged in the operation.

The body of Osama was then taken into custody and had also been identified. Shortly after the operation, President Barrack Obama on Sunday night at the White House announcing the successful operation of the killing and capturing of the criminal responsible for the 26/11 attack. Obama in his address said that justice had been done for those, who had lost loved ones in the dreadful twin tower incident.

Sandeep Soparrkar after preparing for the Royal wedding reception, is now highly disappointed after the reports that he was never invited for a performance at the royal wedding reception in London. It was just a while back that the whole nation was discussing about the Indian choreographer Sandeep, who would soon be performing at the royal reception.

Unfortunately, when contacted the press office at the Buckingham Palace, they had claimed that the invitation was fake and that Soparrkar had never been invited to perform at the Royal Wedding. Moreover, things couldn’t even fall in place for the choreographer as he recently suffered a bad knee injury.

Soparrkar had claimed that he had the invitation and was about to perform at Bollywood Waltz Dance at the Royal Reception. When contacted Soparrkar he said that he realy did not know why they reacted this way.

The choreographer had said that he was very upset over the recent reports and had even planned a inauguration function of the royal invite. The invitation was supposed to be opened by Kangana Ranaut and was supposed to be attended by some of the big names of Bollywood. Sandeep was even alleged that he had faked the royal invite. The choreographer is currently suffering from a swollen knee.

Indian spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba’s final rites were conducted today in the town of Puttaparthy in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Sai Baba was put to rest at his ashram in the form of a Samadhi.

The rituals of the final rites were performed by Sai Baba’s nephew RJ Ratnakar. Ratnakar was guided by nine priest, with strict traditional rituals along with the chanting of the vedic chants at the Sai Kulwant Hall.

The ceremony wasn’t open for the general public but was attended by the VIPs of the country, which included some of the politicians like Venkaiah Naidu, LK Advani Narsimhan, Shivraj V PAtil, Kiran Kumar Reddy and BS Yeddyurappa.

The devotees of Sai Baba had believed that Satya Sai was a reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. During the rituals verses were chanted by the religious leaders of Sikhism, Buddhism, Judaism, Bahai and Christianity. The spiritual leader was offered nine types of grains, nine precious stones and water from nine rivers. Sai Baba was buried lying down on his back. After the burial the first prayers were offered by the politicians, who were present at the ceremony. The public would be allowed to offer prayers to the Samadhi in the afternoon.
