The defense may be having decisions to rest the trials in context to the Elizabeth Smart’s kidnapping case on Thursday. The Lawyer of Brian Mitchell, has stated that his client will be resting his case by Thursday, just after Elizabeth walked out of the last hearing. Brian has been accused of kidnapping Elizabeth Smart of Utah in the year 2002.

Elizabeth had walked out of the court abruptly during the testimony of the witness Paul Whitehead, who is also a psychiatrist who treated Mitchell. He was telling the court that Mitchell and Smart used to have conversations of having babies together, as she herself did not have any options because she was kidnapped in an isolated place.

Mr. Whitehead stated “Mr. Mitchell was talking with Ms. Smart about having babies to the point where Ms. Smart actually picked out a name in case that happened”, and after hearing this statement, Smart just walked out of the court. During the court session, Mitchell suffered seizures and he wailed and fell on the floor. Prior to that he was singing christmas carols before entering the court, he was seriously mentally ill.

In a sensational news from the financial capital of India, Indian Idol, Abhijit Sawant was beaten up by the Mumbai crowd on late Tuesday night. He was along with Prajakta Sukre a former Indian Idol contestant and his girlfriend. According to reports both the singers were having a car race sometime after midnight on an empty street in Mumbai, when Prajakta supposedly lost the control of her vehicle and rammed into two motorcyclists.

Sawant and Sukhre were having a night out and had decided to have a race after finishing a dinner together. Abhijit was driving an Audi and Prakjta had a Honda City. They both began a reckless and an unsafe race on an empty road near Daulat Nagar area of Santacruz.

At a very unlucky moment Prajakta lost control of her vehicle and rammed into two motorcyclists on the same street. After the accident, a crowd of Mumbaikars gathered together around the spot, then they later started having a verbal tiff with Prajakta. Abhijit got into the scene to rescue her from the Mumbai crowd, but he too ended up having a strong verbal conversation with the people as a result the situation turned violent and he eventually got beaten up by the by-standing crowd.

Later the police arrested Prajakta and then released her on a Rs. 3000/- bail. The police have started an investigation into the matter as Abhijit Sawant was looking drunk during the accident, and thus there is an inquiry into this case.

Sarah Pirie, a 27 year old ballet teacher and a TV actress, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15 year old boy. Sources say that she had also admitted that she had abducted the boy, on which she was warned that her confession could lead to her imprisonment.

According to a court, there was no sufficient evidence of the sexual offences on Pirie. The case lacked evidence due to the non co operation of the 15 year old boy, to give evidence.
Pirie has appeared on TV in Hollyoaks and has also worked as a choreographer. Pirie appeared at the Preston Crown Court on Monday where she had admitted to abduct the teenager without legal authority.

Sources say that she was ordered by the court to stay away from the boy. Pirie has bern released on bail on a condition that she will not approach the boy. The court is said to give its final hearing on the case on 7th January 2011.

Well known Hollywood actor and country superstar, Willie Nelson, 77, has been arrested by the highway patrol authorities for the possession of marijuana. Nelson was arrested on Friday morning as he stopped at a highway checkpoint where the police recovered 6 ounces of marijuana from his vehicle. The news has been confirmed by radaronline.com.

Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West told the media that Nelson was travelling in his tour bus and was on his way from California to Austin, when the Border Patrol police stopped him for a regular check. As the tour bus door opened there was a stench of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and that very moment he decided to search Nelson’s bus.

After a thorough search it was known that 6 ounces of marijuana, a controlled substance in the United States, was recovered from the tour bus. Willie Nelson and three others were arrested for the possession of this drug, but he was soon released after paying a $2500 bail. His representative has refused to comment over his arrest. Prior to this, Nelson has been known to have and smoke pot, but this is the first time he has been arrested for possessing it.

President Barack Obama has got his lips hurt during a session of a Basket Ball game, and now he needed stitches to stop his bleeding. The White House spokesperson stated that the President received at least 12 stitches on his lips, which was bleeding ever since he got it hurt during the game. Sources also state that his situation is not serious, as he walked out of the court without any assistance.

It was during the basket ball game, a game which loves playing regularly, he was inadvertently hit by someone’s elbow, and at that very moment his lips got hurt and started bleeding. It is said that he received 12 stitches by the doctor who was present on the ground floor of the White House.

The President was at Fort McNair along with his close friends and family, and they were there for a basket ball game. He was just spending some time with his family members, and nothing much too intense. He is a great fan of outdoor sports, and not to mention he is fit all the time. As basket ball, the President also loves playing golf sometimes.

Closer friends and relatives of the ‘Ugly Betty’ actor, Michael Brea, state that he killed his mother because of some financial issues, as he was feeling that his acting career had stalled and his life was being pushed over the edge. It has been some time now that Michael has not been working in any shows or movie, as a result financial and career stress started to build within him.

His long time friend Sylvan Benoit told Daily Mail “Michael had many money problems and couldn’t pay his bills, I think this happened because of stress over money”. According to his friend’s statement it seems that the financial condition of Brea was not so strong, and his acting career on the other hand was slipping away too.

One of his neighbors told the media, that his mother was the person who used to support him in these bad times and used his father’s car to move around in the city. Michael played small roles in the famous TV show ‘Ugly Betty’, and also had a role in the recent movie ‘Step Up 3D’. He even convinced his mother that she was possessed by Satan, before he chopped off her head and killed her.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 struck the Maui Invitation on Big Island, during the game between No. 8 Kentucky and No. 13 Washington. According to the sources, it is said that there has been no damage to property or people during the tremor at the Lahaina Civic Center. It is something strange that has happened for the first time during an invitational game and too on Big Island.

Experts have said that the quake originated some 10 miles southwest Maui resort community of Wailea. According to the US Geological society the quake strunk the region at around 06.34 pm local time. It was when there were only 6 minutes left for stoppage play, when the quake occurred during the game, and the tables and chairs around the Lahaina Civic Center started to shake violently and people felt something was really wrong.

There was an official time out when the quake struck, and they resumed the game later on when everything was reported to be over. The quake which struck some 100 miles from Honolulu lasted for only five seconds, but what was very astonishing is that many people including the coaches did not even notice it occurred.

Prince William has joint his duty as a rescue helicopter pilot in the RAF, and the very next of his joining he has managed to save a man’s life in the UK. The Prince was recently involved in a rescue operation, to save a man stuck in the mountains. The sources have said that the man was suffering from chest pain, and he had called up the rescue unit to attend him.

The man, who is also a father of two children, was stuck on one of the tallest mountain’s in the UK, and he was very lucky to be saved after he received a heart attack. When the news spread that the Prince had done an act of bravery just a few days after his engagement, it really took some time to believe it.

The rescued man was shocked to see that the Prince himself was there to rescue him, he said “I didn’t know Prince William was flying the helicopter until we landed at the hospital, even then, I felt too unwell for it to register much.”

Bollywood actress Gul Panag, while participating in the Half Marathon in Delhi on Sunday, experienced a horrible time while running. She alleged that a few runners in the crowd took advantage and tried to touch her in odd places. But due to the crowd, Gul could not spot the people who did it.

“It’s the women-in-crowded-place syndrome and typical of Delhi – grope,” she said. However in spite of the incident, showing good sportsman ship, Gul did not quit and finished the Marathon in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

She also added that she had participated in many other marathons earlier but, this happened to her for the first time in Delhi. Gul did not file a police complaint as she could not recognize the ones who did it, due to the crowd.

Other Bollywood actresses like Bipasha Basu and Urmila Matondkar were also present to attend the event and had cheered from the stands.

Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes has landed in prison, after he was charged for tax evasion, the Federal Authorities have confirmed. He is on his way to a Federal Prison facility and is likely to spend the next 3 years in jail, as he has been charged of several tax related crimes. He has already spent years in the court appealing for evading his prison sentence, as he was found guilty of not paying income tax to the government since 1999-2001.

The U.S. District Judge Terrell Hodges said “The Defendant Snipes had a fair trial … The time has come for the judgment to be enforced”. According to the judge, it was really high time into this case of the tax felony in context to Wesley Snipes, and that justice had to be done soon.

Wesley on the other hand is very sad and disappointed after hearing the court sentence, but has promised the he will be staying positive and strong. According to the statement of the court, Snipes had earned a total of $38 million from the year 1999, but has regularly failed to file his income tax, as per which he is found absolutely guilty in the eyes of the law.
