Roshni Chopra is the first to win the title of ‘Desi Girl’, a reality show based on the lifestyle of the villagers.

Roshni Chopra almost did everything that a normal village woman does for her to win this title. From chasing hens, bathing buffaloes and picking cow dung to everything.

Roshni Chopra, is a know face on the television screen who debuted with the serial Kasamh Se aired on Zee TV.

She is thinking over the Hollywood projects offered to her and hopes to sign few of them soon.

Roshni says very contently, “I think it’s great time for me personally and professionally. As doors to bigger platforms have opened for me. I am rolling on a Hollywood project which makes me feel so content. However, it’s too early to disclose details about it. And soon you will see me on the big screen in Vikram Bhatt’s Phirr.”

On questioning about the experience at the show she said, “The show has made me grow as an individual, the innocence and love that I have received has recharged my senses. Now I feel as if I have gone through an inner cleansing process.”

The show Desi Girl was hosted by another popular face from the television industry, Rohit Roy. Stunning beauties like Sambhavna Seth, Kashmera Shah, Monica Bedi, Anmol Singh, Rucha Gujarati, Ishitta Arun and Aushima Sawhney were the competitors of Roshni in the show.

Rue McClanahan, who was the star of the classic series ‘Golden Girls’ died at the age of 76. The news of her death was confirmed by her manager. She passed away this morning at 1.00 am due to massive stroke.

She played the character of Blanche Deveraux, in the TV series ‘Golden Girls’ which ran from the year 1985 to 1992. Rue’s close friend and co-actor from the TV series, Betty White, told the media that her death has hurt her more than she had thought, she was her close and dear friend.

McClanahan’s condition was not to good this year, as she had undergone bypass surgery, due to a minor stroke before. At the moment of her death, her family was by her side.

The American Idol 2010 show has come to an end and the next American Idol 2010 winner is none other than the hunky Lee DeWyze. Lee DeWyze beat Crystal Bowersox to become the Season 9 American Idol winner.

When asked by Idol host Ryan Seacrest how he felt, DeWyze said, “I don’t know. It’s amazing, thank you, guys, so much … I love you. Crystal, I love you.”

The American Idol finale was star studded with performances from Christina Aguilera, Bret Michaels, The Bee Gees and even Janet Jackson – who was sporting a new haircut.

Olympic Gold medalist, Michael Johnson, and Caymanian fashion model Selita Ebanks leaved the “Celebrity Apprentice”. Although it’s normal for celebrities to leave when they get “fired”, it’s yet unknown whether the celebrities left show on their own will, or if Donald Trump had anything to do with it.

When asked, Trump said that he talked to Johnson and that some personal matters (family issues) prevented him from staying on board. Trump however left the doors open for Johnson stating that if he ever wants to get back on show, he can do that.

Apparently, on April 6, 2001, teenager Anne Sluti was walking to her car at the mall when a stranger came in, hit her a few times (which let her unconscious) and abducted her.

Anthony Steven Wright, widely known as Tony Zappa, is the stranger that kept 17-year old Anne Sluti captive for six days.

The guy bound her with chains and duct tape and raped her repeatedly during the ordeal, took her to Montana where he tried to steal goods from various cabins (but a smart Anne Sluti leaves clues and notes behind) before finally giving in on a police standoff at a remote cabin near Rollins.

The “Taken in Broad Daylight” show mentions that Anthony Zappa received a life sentence and $40,000 in damages for kidnapping Anne Sluti.
