The ‘Star Singer’, a singing reality show sponsored by Idea announced the winner for its fourth season. The grand finale took place at Chandrashekaran Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. Among the top five contestants of the show, Joby John was crowned as the winner.

The show’s season four was judged by the very popular artists, MG Sreekumar, Sarath, Usha Uthup and KS Chithra. The other four contestants were Anju Joseph, Sreenath, S Vidhya Shankar and Preethi Ravindran Warrier. The second prize was bagged by Sreenath, whereas, third prize went to Preethi, fourth was Anju and S Vidhya Shankar was fifth.

The winner was chosen by the regular format of the show, the contestants performed live and the audiences showered the votes to their favourite singers. The popular actress, Bhama hosted the grand finale.

After the departure of Ellen DeGeneres as judge of American Idol, we here that the hot JLo aka actress Jennifer Lopez, is about to ink the deal of replacing Ellen DeGeneres.

Another Judge of American Idol, Kara DioGuardi, who just completed her second year on the show, is not under contract next year and FOX has not announced if she’ll return.

Amitabh Bachchan is going to be in the fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, confirmed both the actor as well as the Sony Channel official.

Amitabh on his association with the game show said, “I am glad to be back with Kaun Banega Crorepati. It is always a great pleasure to be associated with BIG Synergy.”

The year 2010 will see the fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati being aired on the Sony TV. The officials from the channel said that there would be certain changes in the format of the show this season.

But Amitabh denied any changes in his style of hosting the show. He said, “The language and the typical words that I used in the second season will be the same. There will be no changes in that regard.”

Ajit Thakur, business head of Sony TV said, “The audition process will be more elaborate and this time the first 10 contestants will be chosen through an on-ground event where Amitabh-ji will engage in a video conference and ask questions.”
