Popular film producer Brett Ratner has on 8th November resigned as the producer of the 84th Academy Awards. The decision to resign came a day after the film maker had made a gay slur during a question and answer session during the screening of his upcoming film.

The film maker had apologized to use the word ‘fag’ at an event that had taken place in Hollywood on 4th November. The remarks made by the film maker had made a huge fuss among the internet users, who had opined that Ratner is a wrong man.

On the other hand the president of the Academy Awards Tom Sherak had said that Ratner is a good man but the comments made by him were not at all acceptable. Sherak had also added that the resignation of Ratner was good for the academy as well as for himself.

The film maker was named as the Oscar producer in the month of August along with the TV veteran Don Mischer. Ratner had issued an open letter, in which he had explained the reason of his resignation. In the letter Brett had mentioned that being asked to be the producer of the Academy was the proudest moment but this is even more painful moment for him.

English musician, singer and songwriter, Sir Paul McCartney is all set to tie the knot with his love Nancy Shevell. McCartney and the American model will be marrying this weekend at the singer’s farmhouse in Sussex, England.

Sources close to the couple have said that the wedding ceremony is going to be small, intimate, elegant and classic. The New York based model will later be hosting a party for her people in New York.

Close friends of the couple have said that the two are very excited to get married and have almost every thing in place for the wedding. The 69 year old singer had proposed the 51 year old former model in the month of April 2011 with an engagement ring that was worth $650,000.

This will be the third wedding for the former Beatle. McCartney was earlier married to Linda, who had died of cancer at the age of 56 in the year 1998. The two were married for 30 years and they had three children together. The second marriage was with Heather Mills in the year 2002, but unfortunately the marriage had ended in a divorce which had cost the singer a lot in the year 2008. McCarntney are dating since the year 2007.

After the grand wedding ceremony of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the wedding dress of the Duchess of Cambridge, will soon be displayed for the public. The wedding dress will be displayed for the public at the Buckingham Palace in London.

The dress has been designed by 36 year old Sarah Burton, the creative director of the British Fashion House, Alexander McQueen. The wedding dress was well appreciated and will be displayed for the public for a closer look.

Certain media reports have said that the dress will be displayed at the Buckingham Palace from 3rd July to an unknown date in the month of October 2011. Burton had created the dress by using old craft techniques as well as hand made embroidery and lace.

Apart from the dress, the Cartier tiara, shoes, veil, earrings as well as the wedding cake will also be displayed at the palace for the public. A spokes person of Middleton has said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to give an opportunity to the member of the public, to view the skilled British craftsmanship, that had went in to several elements of the royal wedding. Kate for the preparation of the wedding dress had worked closely with Burton.

Despite several attempts by the representatives to say that the pictures are fake, actress Blake Lively is still going round the internet for the alleged nude pictures. To top it all Joe Francis, the producer of Girls Gone Wild DVD series has said that the actress has leaked the photographs herself to grab attention.

The producer has said that he is 90 percent sure that the pictures have been leaked by the actress herself or some one hired by her. Francis has said that the actress has made a smart move and is well aware that she would get enough attention through this.

The producer has also said that she has made contrary statements in the media by saying that she would sue the people who publish the photographs. Francis has also suggested the actress to concentrate on the main stream USA for publicity.

Defending his own statement, the producer has said that even in the past actresses like Pairs Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Pamela Anderson have shot to fame only through such scandalous pictures. Cineyug Film’s Karim Morani, will soon be joining in the inmates of the Tihar Jail in Delhi. Morani’s bail application was recently rejected by a Delhi court, after he was found involved as one of the conspirators in 2G scam.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has accused of manipulating payments to the Kalaignar TV, in which DMK MP Kanimozhi holds a 20 percent stake. A transaction of more than Rs. 200 crore was facilitated by Morani.

Morani was arrested, while the investigation of the case was going on. The court had rejected the bail plea of the accused, after Morani had sought bail on the basis of medical grounds.

Even in the last hearing, Morani had appeared in the court wearing a neck brace. According to the lawyers, the accused had just gone through an angioplasty and has been hospitalized for many days. The second charge sheet of the 2G scam had alleged that Vinod Goenka, Dynamix Realty Promoters Shahid Usman Balwa and Swan Telecom had channeled Rs 200 crore to Kalaignar TV that is run by the DMK family, through Cineyug Films Pvt. Ltd and Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt. Ltd. The court dismissed the bail plea according to the reports given by the department of Cardiology and Neurosurgery from Mumbai’s JJ Hospital, that his condition was stable.

The whole US is right now in a celebration mood, after the death of the criminal Osama Bin Laden. Bin Laden has been gunned down by the US officials in Pakistan. The criminal was surprisingly found just 40 miles from the capital of Pakistan.

Muammar Gaddafi’s forces have successfully recaptured the western front town of Zawiyah, and have toppled the rebels after consistent aerial bombings. The rebels were backed off by the Gaddafi forces after the European Union and the US kept an offer to support the rebels in the future. The Red Cross which is present in the country has noted there has been a steep increase in casualties and they have termed this situation nothing less than a civil war. French President Nicholas Sarkozy has notified his country, that they recognize the NLC (National Libyan Council) as the legitimate government of the country.
