The fifth season of the most popular singing reality show of India, Indian Idol declared its winner last night. Sreeram Chandra, a 24 year old Hyderabad boy won the show, overtaking Rakesh Maini and Bhoomi Trivedi.

‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan declared the winner on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Sreeram prizes include Tata Winger car, one year contact with Sony BMG, a song to record for Yash Raj Films’ project and 50 lakh prize money.

The music composer duo, Salim – Sulaiman too have made Sreeram sing for one of their projects. Salim being one of the judges of the show, knew the boy’s potential, so gave him this big break in Bollywood.

Bhumi Trivedi, the runner-up of the show was chosen as a Radio Jockey (RJ) by the India’s biggest FM channel, Radio Mirchi 98.3.

Sreeram’s performance had been consistent throughout the show. He had never been in the bottom three of the elimination rounds.

There has been a new hoax that has been fresh in the air and its none other than but about Justin Bieber. The hoax says that Justin Bierber has impregnated his mother, and this hoax seems to be the worst amoung all the Hoax’s that Justin was involved in last months.

It is for sure now that who ever has started this hoax, probably doesn’t like Justin at all. The who dislikes him so much, went to the extent of putting Justin and his Mother into some sick incestous relationship. Manohari Singh, one of the main players with R.D. Burman’s musician team passed away in Mumbai on July 13, 2010. The reason behind his demise is said that he was ill since past few days. Singh was 79.

Manohari Singh belonged to a family of musicians. His father and uncle played in night clubs and in music studios. Singh belonged to Kolkata.

He debuted in the film industry with ‘Sitaron Se Aage’ in 1958 whose music was composed by R.D. Burman. He even had released an album compiled of many musical pieces of saxophone from the Hindi film songs. He called that album ‘Sax Appeal’.

Before finally making Saxophone as his specialty he tried hands on English Key Flute, clarinet and mandolin too.

The best pieces by him are ‘Gaata Rahe Mera Dil’ from Guide, music by R.D. Burman again and more recently Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer Chalte Chalte (2003) and Veer Zaara (2004).

A.R. Rahman, Oscar winning Indian composer says though, he is working with U&B star Usher and pop singer Dido but for a different project and the so called collaboration will be just uptill then. Rahman clarified that they have not come together for his album.

Rahman is on the world tour, and is presently in London. He said, “I will be collaborating with Usher and Dido, but it is not for my next album as everyone is saying. It is for some other project, the details of which I can’t reveal yet. I’m concentrating on my world tour right now, and my work on the collaboration will start after it is over,” he added.

Rahman is touring the US and Europe as part of his “Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour” concert.

The 44-year-old has already worked with music gems like Andrew Lloyd Webber, Kylie Minogue, Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls, Quincy Jones and Lionel Ritchie.

Rahman is supposed to be one of the most downloaded composers in Britain. He will be performing for his fans there at LG Arena in Birmingham on July 23, O2 on July 24 and Wembley on July 25.

Apart from winning the Oscars, the composer who is also known as the “Mozart of Madras”, has won a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe and two Grammy Awards.

Renowned music director, M G Radhakrishnan died at a private hospital today.

The well known music director of Malayalam film has given many melodies to the music lovers.

He died at the age of 70 and is survived by his wife, a daughter and son.

M. G. Radhahrishnan was undergoing treatment for sometime and was hospitalized a week ago.

It is a huge loss for his family, friends and relatives. His wife was inconsolable.

His younger brother a noted singer, M G Sreekumar, and his sister, Omanakutty, a vocalist, were grief-stricken.

He started his music as music director with All India Radio in 1962.

Light music programmes ‘Lalitha Sangeetha Padam’, directed by him was a hit among the AIR listeners.

M G Radhakrishnan’s venture into films as a singer happened in the year 1968 in  ’Kallichellamma’ movie. His first film as a music director was ‘Thampu’. There was no stopping from there and he went on giving music to scores of Malayalam films.

He will be missed by the film fraternity.

American music producer and rapper Swizz Beatz has got engaged to Grammy winning singer Alicia Keys, and the couple have announced that they are expecting their first child.

Alicia Keys confirmed the news of her pregnancy and this will be her first child. Swizz Beatz on the other hand, has two children from previous relationships.

The couple started dating back in 2008 and are rumored to get married later this year.
