Willa Ford, singer, will play the late Anna Nicole Smith in an independent movie that is set to begin filming next week. Keoni Waxman will direct the film that follows Smith’s life from age 17 until her death February 8, 2007 at age 39. The film will include segments on her life as a Playboy Playmate, Guess? jeans model and her career as a model and actress. Also included will be her marriage to billionaire J. Howard Marshall II, the birth of her daughter and the death of her son. Ford, best known for her part in last year’s dancing competition, “dancing with the Stars” and her 2001 album, “Willa Was Here.”Like Smith, Ford was a playboy bunny in the March 2006 issue.Currently, she is engaged to hockey player, Mike Modano and is working on her next album.

“Girls Gone Wild” creator, Joe Francis, was taken into custody at the Panama City airport yesterday. The founder of the video empire makes millions annually from the sale of videos of young girls flashing their breasts.

Francis is in negotiations in a civil suit with women who were underage at the time they were filmed. The judge in that case, U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak, ordered Francis to settle the case of go to jail for contempt of court.

Francis previously stated that he would settle the case, even if it meant giving up a billion dollars so that he would avoid jail time but added that any monetary agreement would be voided in appeal.

Newlyweds, Fiona and Shrek, are headed back tot he swamp for some peace and quiet when Fiona’s father, the frog King Harold, croaks. On his deathbed he convinces Shrek to take over the royal duties of Far Far Away. Shrek, who dreads the thought of royal anything, finds that his only option is to track down Fiona’s distant cousin Artie and have him take over the throne.Just as Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots are to sail away to find the future King Arthur, Fiona tells Shrek she’s expecting and won’t be joining him.

Fiona stays behind and gets thrown a baby shower by snooty Snow White, obsessive clean freak Cinderella, narcoleptic Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel. In comes Prince Charming for his third try at happily ever after. He manages to take over the kingdom, leaving Fiona to teach the other princesses how to defend themselves.All the old favorites are back also, Queen Lillian (Julia Andrews), King Harold (John Cleese), Prince Charming (Rupert Everett), the three little pigs, Pinocchio and the Gingerbread Man. Newcomers include Merlin the Magician, Captain Hook, wicked witches, ugly stepsisters and the four princesses.The future king, Arthur Pendragon, voiced by Justin Timberlake, is a bumbling teen who’s first seen getting his butt kicked by jock Lancelot. “A big part of this film is just the theme of taking responsibility, be it fatherhood or kingship or whatever,” said Nick Walker, head of layout on the animation team for “Shrek the Third.” Due out in theatres May 18.

Russell Crowe was born April 7, 1964 in New Zeeland. At the age of 4 his family moved to Australia where he lived until the age of 14. Returning to Australia at 21, he intended to apply to the National Institute of Dramatic Art but was convinced that doing so would be a waste of time.

After some success in Australia, Crowe began acting in American films. He has been nominated three times as Best Actor in the Academy Awards. The Insider and A Beautiful Mind garnered him nominations and Gladiator won him the award. All three films were also nominated for Best Picture and Gladiator and A Beautiful Min won. He won Best Actor for A Beautiful Mind in 2002 from the Golden Globe Awards.

Crowe has a media reputation for having a bad temper. Several incidents contribute to this image but the most telling was an incident that resulted in changes of 2nd degree assault in New York. Crowe threw a telephone at a hotel concierge and was charged with 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon (the telephone) and was sentenced to a conditional release. He settled a civil lawsuit with the concierge, who was treated for facial lacerations, for $100,000.

Crowe also maintains a musical career with his band, The Ordinary Fear of God.On his birthday in 2003 he married Australian singer and actress Danielle Spencer whom he met while filming The Crossing in 1990. The couple has two children, sons Charlie and Tennyson. Crowe’s next film is American Gangster in which he co-stars with Denzel Washington due to be released in November 2007.

Family Ties’ youngest was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend. The child that was the star in the 80s sitcom, Brian Bonsall, 25, poured an alcoholic beverage on Lindsay Dunavan, 26, while she was asleep and then when she tried to leave, got pushed a few times down on the bed. She reported Bonsall to the police and when they got there both of them got arrested. Dunavan however, got released an hour later, Bonsall being the “prominent aggressor” even if he told the police that he was the one assaulted after Dunavan tried to attack him with a knife, and injured his arm and face.

He is being investigated for two counts: felony second-degree assault and misdemeanor false imprisonment. Currently held in Boulder County Jail, Bonsall is used with being imprisoned. In 2004 after the police spotted someone vomiting off the window of his SUV, he said he had “plenty” to drink, so he was withheld. The bail was set for $5,000.

Eddie Griffin, a 38-year-old actor comedian totaled a $1.5 million rare Enzo Ferrari. He was practicing for an upcoming charity race event to promote his film “Redline” when he crashed the car into a concrete barrier. While the car is completely destroyed, with heavy damage to the front end, walked away without a scratch. The Enzo, owned by “Redline” executive producer Daniel Sadek said “I’m glad Eddie came out of the crash OK, but my dream car got destroyed.” Sadek’s exotic car collection is being featured in the movie. Only 400 Ferrari Enzos were produced and all were made between 2002 and 2004. Named after The Company’s founder Enzo Ferrari, the car was designed based on Formula 1 technology. Originally only 349 units would be made but Ferrari was convinced to make another 50. In 2005 Ferrari decided to make 1 more Enzo. The car was auctioned by Sotheby’s to benefit survivors of the 2004 Tsunami. The auction raised $1.27 million, twice the list price and proceeds were given to Pope Benedict.

Hermione WILL be back. After weeks of speculation and rumors, actress Emma Watson has signed on to do the final two Harry Potter films. She will be joined by her castmates, Daniel Radcliffe, as Harry and Rupert Grint, as Ron Weasley.

The trio are the center of a cast of many in the blockbuster films that began in 2001. Based on the novels by author J.K. Rowling, the films have grossed more than $3.5 billion and rumors of Watson not wanting to reprise her role caused much concern. Built on a largely young fan-base, worries of how fans would react to a change of actress to a main character became a focus. However, all the worry was for nothing, Watson’s signed and all’s right in the Harry Potter world.

The firth film in the series, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” is scheduled for release July 13, 2007.

Kate Winselt and Leonardo DiCaprio are slated to reunite for a drama about post-war disillusionment. The star couple, made famous for their parts in the box office blockbuster “Titanic”, have agreed to costar in a film called “Revolutionary Road. The film is to be directed by Winslet’s husband, Sam Medes, who won an Oscar for “American Beauty.”

The story, based on a 1961 novel by Richard Yates revolves around a 1950s suburban couple caught between pressures to conform and their true desires. Both actors were nominated for Oscars this year for their roles in “Blood Diamond” (DiCaprio) and “Little Children” (Winslet).

Shelton Jackson Lee, better known as Spike Lee, was born March 20, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia. He’s a renowned American film director, producer, writer and actor famous for tackling controversial social and political issues.He almost always chooses to have a part in his films from a cameo or a supporting role and has worked with actors like Wesley Snipes, Martin Lawrence, Samuel L Jackson, Halle Berry and Denzel Washington. His films include Do the Right Thing, 1990, Malcom X, 1992 and Clockers, 1995.

Lee has also started a second career directing Nike commercials. He later went on to direct commercials for Converse, Jaguar, Taco Bell and Ben & Jerry’s. Married to Tonya Lewis Lee since 1993 the couple have two children. Spike is also a hard core New York Knicks fan and fan of the New York Yankees.

He is currently rumored to be working on a biography of the late James Brown.

For 10 years Joe Hill has kept a secret but when his novel “Heart-Shaped Box”, a fantasy thriller, came out last month and Warner had already snapped up the movie rights six months earlier he realized the gig was up.

The name Joe Hill isn’t a big stretch from the truth as his famous parents named him Joseph Hillston King after a labor organizer whose 1915 execution for murder inspired the song “Joe Hill.”

Wanting to test his writing abilities on its own merits, he deliberately chose to not reveal that he is the 34 year old son of the infamous Stephen King. The editor of “Heart Shaped Box” was unaware and he only revealed his true identity to his agent 2 years ago. “”I really wanted to allow myself to rise and fall on my own merits. One of the good things about it was that it let me make my mistakes in private.”
