Prithviraj’s wedding ceremony with Supriya Menon in Kerala

Popular Malayalam actor from Indian Cinema, Prithviraj after repeatedly denying his marriage reports, finally got married to his girlfriend Supriya Menon. Supriya is a BBC journalist based in Mumbai. The couple tied the knot at Thenkurissy in the state of Kerala, India

Like all celebrity weddings, this marriage ceremony too was a very private affair and was attended only by the family members. The ceremony was attended by the actor’s mother Mallika Sukuraman, brother Indrajith and his wife Poornima including 60 friends and relatives.

The marriage venue was surrounded by security personnel. Supriya Menon had arrived along with her parents and a few friends and family members. Menon is a resident of Palakkad in Kerala, India.

The bride for the wedding ceremony wore a traditional cream and gold sari, while the groom wore a traditional ‘mundu’ and a ‘kurta’. The media and photographers were kept away from the ceremony, but several private photographers had covered the function inside.

The security arrangements were so strict that the mobile phones of the staff members were made to switch off. The couple after the ceremony refrained from the media. Outside the gate, the actor’s mother Mallika told the journalists that they were not invited for the wedding. However, on 30 April all are invited for the reception.

Yana Gupta hot item girl for song for Murder 2 called Aa Zara Kareeb Se

Bollywood actress and item girl Yana Gupta, after being in the news for her pantyless appearance in public, is now in demand for item numbers in Bollywood. Yana did ‘Laila O Laila’ for Lara Dutta’s ‘Chalo Dilli’ and now she has done a bold item song for the sequel of Murder.

Yana has reportedly worn fewer clothes for the item number ‘Aa Zara Kareeb Se’ in Murder 2. The director of the movie Mohit Suri had appreciated Yana’s work for the song. The set of the song was set up at a place where there wasn’t any air conditioning.

Yana had said that it was very hot and nearly impossible to shoot in such circumstances. But the actress some how managed and gave her best shot, as it was for the Bhatts. The ‘Babuji’ girl added that they finally got what they wanted.

Mohit too had agreed that the conditions were not at all favorable and was difficult to shoot. The director added that she gave her best for the song and also co-operated with the crew members. Earlier actress Bipasha Basu was supposed to do the song, but was turned down by the producers as she was charging exorbitant. On this Yana said that Bipasha’s rejection worked in her favor.

‘Mutton song’ likely to overtake ‘Munni’ and ‘Sheila’ in Bollywood

After ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ and ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, its time for the latest ‘mutton song’, which will probably be the next item song, to feature in the hit list of the fans. The new song from the movie ‘Love Ka The End’ is already knocking on the doors of the television with its teasers.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Ashish Patil the head of the production has said that the song has a unique casting. Taaha Shah, who is playing the lead character in the movie will be featuring in the song, wearing a ghagra choli and dancing like a woman.

Ashish also added that the song also features some of the old back up dancers from the old films. Deepak has been roped, who has danced along with actress Vaijayantimala in the song ‘Hoton Pe Aisi Baat’ from the movie Jewel Thief and also Bulbul, who was seen as an African dancer in the song ‘Laila O Laila’ from the movie ‘Qurbani’.

The song has been sung by Krishna Beura, who has given different voices in the song. The composition is done by Ram Sampath, while the lyrics has been penned down by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The movie ‘Love Ka…’ is a romantic comedy staring Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor opposite Taaha Shah.

Shraddha Kapoor to make Bollywood debut in ‘Luv Ka The End’

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is another celebrity straight from the box of Bollywood’s star kids. Shraddha is the daughter of actor and comedian Shakti Kapoor, who has made his mark as the bad man and also a comedian in Bollywood.

Shraddha coudn’t have got a better launch than a Yash Raj Films banner. The actress will be seen for the first time on silver screens in the movie ‘Luv Ka The End’. The movie is directed by Bumpy, who has also directed the popular reality show Roadies.

The movie is a romantic comedy and is a story about a girl, who has been cheated by her boyfriend. The main female lead is played by Shraddha and the boyfriend’s role is played by another fresh face Taaha Shah.

Looking at the story line of the movie, some people had said that the movie is similar to the Hollywood flick John Tucker Must Die, which is also based on the revenge of the girlfriend. On this the head of the Yash Raj Films, Ashish Pail said that the movie is more similar to ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’. Ashish added that John Tucker… has three girlfriends in the movie looking for revenge, so the resemblance to the movie is not possible. ‘Luv Ka The End’ is all set to hit the theatres on 6th May.

Salman Khan and Asin’s ‘Ready’ trailer released

Bollywood’s most popular actor, Salman Khan is set to come back with yet another block buster ‘Ready’, which is due to release in June. The first trailer of the movie has been released and seems like the actor is again set to charm the audience with a new role.

The movie is directed by Aneez Bazmee and is a remake of the Telugu block buster with the same title. However, the makers have assured that the Bollywood version of the movie will be more bright and colorful than the south Indian version.

Konkana Sen’s baby bump revealed by fashion magazine

An attempt to showoff the baby bump isn’t common among the Indian celebrities. But actress Konkana Sen Sharma did not mind sharing her joy to become a mother, while she posed revealing her baby bump for a fashion magazine.

The Bengali beauty, wore a green outfit, which subtly revealed her baby bump, which seemed like she was in her full term. Konkana is seen holding her baby bump, while she gave a mild smile at it.

The picture has the actress just showing the relation with her baby, as she is not wearing any accessories than the green off shoulder top on her. The picture might have been taken before the month of March, when she gave birth to her son Haroon.

Konkana Sen is married to actor and comedian Ranveer Shorey. The couple tied the knot in September 2010. Close friends of the couple had said that Konkana and Ranveer had rushed for the marriage as the actress was pregnant. The ‘Omkara’ actress has spoken about her pregnancy in the magazine and has also expressed her joy of having Haroon in her life. Before Konkana, actress Tara Sharma too had bared her baby bump, before she gave birth to her son Zen in the year 2009.

Singer Chitra’s daughter Nandana dies in Dubai

Popular south Indian singer K.S. Chitra had been through very unfortunate incident on Thursday. Chitra’s daughter Nandana this morning died after drowning in a swimming pool, which was attached to the Emirate Hills villa in Dubai.

The 8 year old was then immediately taken to a private hospital in Jabel Ali, where the doctors could not save her. Singer Chitra, who was married to a businessman Vijay Sankar was issue-less for nearly 15 years.

Nandana was born after years of prayers and came as a god’s gift to the singer. The body of the singer’s daughter will be brought to Chennai, India later on Thursday.

Chitra had come to Dubai for a concert in which she was supposed to perform, along with her group on A R Rahman’s popular tracks. Chitra is known for her high pitch singing talent. She has sung songs for south Indian films as well as for Bollywood. Chitra has won six national awards and has sung songs in about 10 Indian languages.

Apart from national awards, the singer has also bagged film fare awards and also more than thirty state film awards. Chitra hails fro the state of Kerala in India and is the favorite of music composer A R Rahman.

Sachin Bhowmick, the screen play and story writer passes away

Veteran writer and director Sachin Bhowmick died on Tuesday in Mumbai, India. The writer for a long time was dealing with age problems. Bhowmick was known for his screenplays had written stories for more than 70 films in Bollywood.

Sachin officially started his career in Bollywood, by writing for Mohan Sehgal’s movie, ‘Lajwanti’ in the year 1958, which also had the legendary actress Nargis. Bhowmick loved writing screenplays and stories and has been involved in the industry’s most prestigious projects.

The writer has written stories for the movies of the olden era like Love In Tokyo, ‘Aradhana’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Karma’, ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’, ‘Brahmachari’ and An Evening in Paris. Moreover, Bhowmick has also writen many of the new generation movies like ‘Taal’, ‘Yeh Dillagi’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘ Koyla’, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anadi’, ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, ‘Kisna’ and ‘Krrish’.

Bhowmick in his career, had just once donned the cap of the director with the movie ‘Raja Rani’, which had actor Rajesh Khanna and actress Sharmila Tagore in the year 1973.

As far a his personal life was concerned, Bhowmick had married actress Kalpana, who was seen opposite Shammi Kapoor in the movie ‘Professor’, but had later divorced her. Bhowmick will always be remembered for his evergreen stories he wrote for the industry
