Julia Roberts has official disclosed that she is Hindu. She has started to visit temples, chant mantra’s, and also follow Hindu rituals. In fact her parents are Catholic and Baptists, and she hails from the state of Georgia which is considered in the Bible belt of America. The famous actress has stated in the latest of issue of the Elle magazine that she is an active Hindu from now on.

Many have come up with mixed responses stating that she is just experimenting with religion’s, may be she might shift to an another religion next month or get into something else later. But her supporters have stated that she must have taken such a decision after lot of thinking.

Her venture into Hinduism started last September when she visited India for the shooting of her movie Eat,Love and Pray. In the movie she visits Indian in search of her spirituality and existence

‘Aisha’, the Hindi version of  Jane Austien’s novel Emma is the movie wholly and solely dedicated to the youth. The protagonist of the film played by Sonam Kapoor, ‘Aisha’ is seen in an author bagged role for the very first time, and we get to see her as an elite class and flamboyant new age girl of the metro city Delhi. She completely justifies her character.

Abhay Deol who is playing the character of Arjun, Aisha’s childhood buddy does not seem artificial even for a second in the complete film and has managed to leave an impression even though not being in the central character. Arjun is worried about Aisha’s fanciful attitude towards life and constant interference in other’s love life.

The other actors of the film are Cyrus Sahukar, Amrita Puri, Arunoday Singh and Ira Dubey. Everyone seemed to have had enjoyed their respective characters which is visible in their performances. Though, the performances are not too consistant.

All in all ‘Aisha’ is a film which the youth will enjoy watching and sometimes maybe even relate to certain situations in the film.

A popular film actor of 1980’s Ravi Baswani, took his last breath on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He passed away in Haldwani near Nainital while shooting for a film.

Ravi Baswani popularity started with the 1983 offbeat film ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ that rewarded him with a Filmfare Award in the Best Comedian category.

One of the close friend’s of Ravi, Ashok Pandit informed that cardiac attack caused his death. He said, “Ravi suffered a cardiac attack. By the time they could get medical aid in Haldwani, he had passed way. His death has come as a big shock.”

Ravi Baswani was planning to direct the film as well that he was shooting for in Shimla. The actor debuted in the film industry in the year 1981 with ‘Chashme Buddoor’, starring Deepti Naval and Farooq Sheikh which was directed by Sai Paranjpe.

The actor died at 64 years of age. His friends believe that Ravi was a very simple man with no addictions of smoking or drinking.
