Indian Space Research Organisation is all set to launch its 17th flight of its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, from Satish Dhavan Space Center. The 50+ hours countdown has already begun, which commenced at 06.52 am today. The launch is scheduled on the 09.22 am on Monday.

According to the ISRO spokesperson, he has confirmed that the countdown has commenced and the launch will take place as per the schedule.

He said the all the preparations for the launch are in progress, and ISRO looking forward to launch all the five satellites on board the PSLV into space.

The satellites on board the PSLV are – Cartosat-2B from India, AlSat from Algeria, Nano Satellites from Canada and Switzerland and mircro satellite which has been built by the students of Hyderabad and Banglore, Studsat.

Lindsay Lohan, during the hearing on Wednesday had a small profane message written on her middle finger. During the hearing, she was sentenced for a 90 days jail term. She stated that what she had written on her middle finger was nothing related to the court matter, nor did she try offend anyone with that message.

Reports state that Lindsay said it was just a design that she had made using a stencil. The message was raised during the court secession, when the photographer present in the court noticed it. Later there were questions raised on whether she was trying to ply a message to someone.

The message came into light, when Lohan was wiping her tears, after hearing the judgement, made by Judge Marsha Revel. She is now asked to surrender on the 20th of July.

News started to buzz every where when the former ‘Friends’ star, Jennifer Aniston, was said not to be single again, as there were news reports that stated she had a dinner with her friend Chris Gartin the Los Angeles Sunset Tower Restraint, last week.

Aniston’s spokesperson told the media, that their relationship is not strong and mutual, but Gartin has been her friend for long time, and still remains a friend.

Yesterday when Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment, she had a small message for her judge Marsha Revel, which she had written on the nail of her middle finger. Message read ‘F**K You’, well that showed what kind of respect she had for the judge. The little message was so tiny, that hardly anyone noticed.

Even though there was a huge emotional drama that took place in the court room, during her sentence, when she started to beg and cry to make her jail term a bit less. But with such an act in her mind, it seems that she took the sentence very lightly.

The 24 year old actress has been sentenced to a 90 day imprisonment and then another 90 days in the rehab. But for now, Lindsay Lohan is taking a walk in the park, at least we can see this from her reactions, she twittered her friends and fans, thanking them for the support they have provided. But some of her close ones fear that she wont be able to make through these 14 days, after which she is asked to turn her self in. A Solar Powered plane from the Swiss, has made history in the books of Aviation, as it made a non stop flight which lasted for 26 hours. And if we think its solar powered so its flight was limited only till the day, but the this plane flew continuously even through the night.

The plane was piloted by the CEO of Solar Impulse HB-SIA project, Andre Borscherg, who is also the co-founder of the project. The aircraft took off from the Payerne airbase in Switzeland, on the 7th of July 2010, at 06.50 am local time. The plane made history flying 26 hours and landed at 09.00 am local time at same airbase.

The plane flew over the Jura Mountains and Lake Neuchatel, which on the west of the Swiss Alps. The plane was the first manned solar powered aircraft and it made history by flying for almost 26 hours, without conventional fuel.

Environment and Forests Minister Jairam Ramesh and Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal signed a Memorandum of Understanding, for river Ganga’s protection and pollution management programme, with seven major IITS of India, in New Delhi.

After the independence it is going to be for the first time that the seven major Indian Institute of Technologies are approached to device a solution for treatment of Ganga.

The decision of treating Ganga was made after finding that by 2020 Ganga will be full of sewage, which would be difficult to treat.

The treatment and waste management process of Ganga is named as mission ‘Clean Ganga’.
Universities related to the environment will also be dedicating their time and effort to the mission. Around 100 professors and students are working on this project and the main focus is to improve the quality of the sewage systems.

The chief ministers of all those states, which have a boundary with the river Ganga, like Uttarkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand are also involved.

This non profit university is in the process importing technological support from international universities from America and Europe.
 
Dileep Ranjekar, CEO, of Azim Premji Foundation, said “we are in talks with some foreign universities for collaboration in areas of curriculum development, faculty and teachers’ development. They can bring some world-class knowledge repository of teaching and learning processes. We may also look at them as partners for research exchange. Carrie Prejean former Miss California has tied the knot with boyfriend Kyle Boller who is a NFL player.

San Diego, California born Prejean is an American model who was stripped of her Miss California crown for alleged breach of contract.
She competed in the Miss California USA 2008 pageant in the year 2007 and was initially placed as a third runner-up but when a judging error was found she was promoted to first runner-up.

Prejean got the required publicity as the final question at the pageant became the subject of controversy.

Prejean had been asked about the same-sex marriage laws by Perez Hilton, who is a gossip blogger and a gay himself. He found her answer to be biased and used his gossip blog to publisize the response by Prejean.

Supposed to be one of the biggest drug trafficking case this year, the Bangalore police have arrested two Nigerian citizens who were found possessing 230 gm of cocaine, in the city on Sunday.

The accused duo are Kelvin ( Chigindu Emakachiku ) aged 24 who hails from Aba in Nigeria and Ogugua Benneth 25, who is a native of Nteja city.

It is said that one of the two accused had no travelling documents along with him.

The drug that was seized from them was worth Rs.30 lakh in the international market.

Kelvin was caught red handed on Cunningham Road near cafe Barista while selling the cocaine pills, whereas, Ogugua was caught on Church Street while he was searching for appropriate customers.

Alok Kumar, joint commissioner of police, crime branch informed,“The accused persons will get at least 20 years of imprisonment under the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances Act.”

Kumar further said that the police had received information about these Nigerians who had made their selling point near coffee shops, bar and restaurants. He said,

“We have information that these peddlers identify their customers and woo them to eat outs and coffee shops to sell the narcotics.”

The accused persons have named a person called Johnson for supplying them with drugs since one year now.
