The number of part time works in the UK has soared to a record high, as people in the Britian are forced to do more of part-time works as scheduled or no work at all.

About 7.82 million people are working on part time basis, and the numbers in jobless people has fallen tremendously, for people are stuffed into part time works. But there is a new worry, there has been a rise in long term unemployment. People are not able to find jobs that are full time or on long term basis.

The Office of National Statistics, showed that the there has been a good slip in the unemployment rates, as the figures show that it gone down by 7.8% for three months till the month of May, and it is also forcasted that it would remain at 7.9% for some time atleast. The UK labour market has gone up, from the past months, but its is still not sure whether the private hirings would increase ahead.

According to the Economist, Vicky Redwood, from the Captial Economics, stated that normal household in UK is still undergoing strong financial squeeze, which is due to heavy taxes, job cuts and low growth in income.

A bangalore based firm, Hidden Reflex, has created India’s first multilingual browser, called the Epic Browser.

‘Peepli Live’ an Aamir Khan production film that is slated to be release on August 13 launched their music on July 13, 2010 with live performances in Mumbai.

The film is directed by debutant Anusha Rizvi.

Band Indian Ocean and Mathias Duplessy are the two major names behind the music of ‘Peepli Live’.

The film basically is about urban people who are far away from the actual India, uttered the director of the film. Rizvi said,

“It’s a film on rule and …divide and all of us who live in cities, Bombay, Delhi, they do not understand the reality of the nation nowadays.”

The music launch saw many important faces of the film industry like Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Rajkumar Hirani, Rani Mukerji and Sharman Joshi.

Charles Sobhraj will get a decision from the Supreme Court of Nepal regarding his appeal against the court’s verdict for his jail imprisonment sentence. Sobhraj is facing charges against murder of an American tourist Connie Jo Bronzich, in the year 1975.

Sobhraj has allegedly killed around 20 more tourists in the 1970’s and 80’s either by injecting drugs in their food or drink. Sobhraj had filed appeal against the district court’s verdict in the Supreme Court on November 10, 2005.
He is facing many charges against him ranging from murder to robbery. And has been a guest in the Indian jails for almost 20 years before he returned to France in 1997.

Microsoft has announced that it will soon be launching a tablet PC. These tablet personal computers will run on Windows 7. Steve Ballmer, the Chief Executive for Microsoft informed.

The other companies manufacturing the product along with Microsoft are Asus, Sony, Dell, Toshiba and Samsung.

The tablet PC will be manufactured in various types. Some of the tablet PC’s will have docks and some will be manufactured along with the keyboards.

“This year, one of the most important things that we will do in the smart device category is really push forward with Windows 7-based slates,” Mr Ballmer informed at the Microsoft’s annual World Partner Conference.

The introduction of the tablet pc is very important for Microsoft, claim Mr. Ballmer.

Tathagat Tulsi at the age of 22 has becomes a professor at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, which is one of the many prestigious colleges in India. Tathagat is going to teach Physics at the institute.

Tathagat Avtar Tulsi, a native of Patna is going to be the youngest teaching staff that has been recruited by the institute up till now. He got over with his high school when he was just nine years old, completed Bachelor of Science when he was 10 and was a post graduate in science at the age of 12.

At the age of 21, he was through with a PhD in Quantum Computing from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Tathagat said,

“My dream is to set up a lab focused on quantum computation in India, and one day help develop a largescale quantum computation-based supercomputer. IIT Bombay offers me these possibilities.”

Tathagat chose to teach in IIT although having being offered lectureship at Waterloo University, Canada.
