A Street Named Larry King

Hollywood city council voted Wednesday to rename a block that surrounds a CNN building after talk show host, Larry King.
“Larry King Square” was named in recognition of King’s 50 years of broadcasting service and of his interview show on CNN, the longest running interview program on CNN.
The council also agree to rename and intersection near Parramount Studios “I Love Lucy Square.” The renaming honours comedienne Lucille Ball and Lucy Casada, owner of the popular restaurant called Lucy’s El Adobe Cafe.

Kanye West ain’t going back. At least that’s what he said during a full out temper tantrum at the MTV Video Music Awards show. That is, he’s not going back to appear on the VMAs in the future.

Critics are not being generous with Britney Spears’ attempted comeback on the MTV awards show. Her performance was ripped apart by critics who said the 25 year-old singer’s performance included out-of-synch lip-synching and sluggish choreography. Perhaps the nastiest slap at Britney was the reference to her no longer taunt belly. One of the nicer comments came from producer Akon who later said, “She seemed nervous … you could tell by the expression on her face. Instead of just blocking everybody out and doing her thing, you could tell she was thinking about it.”
Heidi Klum, supermodel, tv host, business woman and mother of 3 is the new “body” for Jordache Jeans.
To mark the 30th anniversary of Elvis’ death, his daughter, Lisa Marie will duet in a video with her late father.
In a novel ad campaign Mary-Louise Parker is naked. Well, except for the snake she’s wearing. The snake campaign which promos Showtime shows has the actress naked except for the snake draped over her shoulder and down her back. Parker said it wasn’t being naked that concerned her but instead it was the snake that intimidated her. She stated that she decided that the snake wouldn’t win and went ahead with the filming.
Amanda Bynes of “What I Like About You” fame has launched a clothing line named “Dear.”
