India is going to have upgraded Samsung smartphones. Samsung Champ and Samsung Omnia Lite B7300 are making waves in the market for their great functions combined with low price.

Samsung Champ has already become the centre of attraction for its cost as it is the cheapest smartphone available in India and touchscreen facility that usually is not found at such low cost. Samsung Omnia Lite B7300 will be mid priced hanset.

At the launch of these handsets, Samsung divulged that these phones have been specially designed by keeping Indian market in mind, as the people here want best at a low cost. Samsung mobiles did the same, they are offering the best with Samsung Champ and Samsung Omnia Lite at a relatively low cost, as compared to its competitors in the mobile market.

Samsung Champ is priced at Rs. 4,100 for facilities like QVGA 2.4 touchscreen, 240×320 pixels display, 1.3 MP camera, 8GB expandable memory and muc more.

Whereas, Samsung Omnia Lite costs, Rs. 17,000 for TFT resistive touchscreen at 3 inches screen size and 240X400 pixels display, 250 internal memory and microSD expandable support of 32GB.
Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 professional Operating system will be pre-loaded on Samsung Omnia Lite and 800Mhz processor that will help faster processing on this handset.

Oracle has filed a suit against Google stating that, Google used the Sun Java technology to create the operating system Android. Oracle has stated that Google has used the Sun based Java technology and it is a breach in copyright.

But this is one side of the story, James Gosling, creator of Java and veteran at SUN, stated that during the dealing of Oracle and Java, Sun had stated the amount of claim that could be acquired after property infringement. This was really interesting for Oracle’s legal men.

Google has dismissed the claims and the lawsuits, stating that the claims set by Oracle are completely baseless. He added that he was shocked that Oracle found Google to be attacked, but then they do not know about the Java open source community. The Java opensource does not belong to only one corporation but goes beyond that and helps making the WEB a better place.

Google stated that it was sure about the patent norms of Sun Java, and before it could develope Android, it had officially hired a team of Sun Java engineers. So these claims dont stand solid ground at all.

It will actually be the clash of the Titans, no wonder why, because Oracle and Google are two technology giants, and they are ready lock horns, due to a permission dispute. Oracle has stated that, Google has used the Oracle based Jawa software platform to develope their operating system called Android, as a result Oracle sued Google in the federal court.

The Android is now booming as an OS, for many smart phone companies around the world. Oracle stated that Google used the same patented Java scripts that it had purchased from Sun Microsystems and it was  copyrighted, as a result of which it is a breach of copyright.

Oracle from their side has not disclosed what amount of damage they may be seeking, but then it may be a really huge sum of money. One of Oracle’s spokesperson stated that the company may also move to do something that has never been seen before,  a large scale negotiation, but for the moment nothing has been confirmed.

Questions are being asked now, whether Dan Akerson, will be the correct man to lead General Motors. Edward Whitacre will be resigning from the post of the CEO of GM on the 1st of September. Dan Akerson, from the Carlyle Group is looking to be the worthy successor to Whitacre. He is also known to be a part of the controversial documentary, Fahrenheit 911.

Everyone has seen and has been accepted by Whitacre, that he had two roles in the company, the CEO and the Chairman for GM. But now the appointment of Akerson looks something to be just out of the books. Akerson is surely a reputed man in the corporate world, and has loads of experience in handling companies, but skeptically has not enough to run a company like General Motors.

Just as Whitacre, Akerson too hails from handling and running telecom companies, like the MCI Communications Corporation and Nextel Communication. But to see what Akerson can step up to in GM, we have to see when he takes the chair.

Toyota India, will be taking another step to ensure that it has solid ground in the Indian car market. For this will be bringing in the new Etios. The Etios is a new hatchback by Toyota and its a really awesome looking little car. The car will launched in the month of December this year.

Sandeep Singh, CEO of Kirloskar Toyota, stated that may be in the future the diesel version of the car too may be launched. Toyota already has its foot set firm in the Indian car market with the Corolla, Camry, Innova, Prado and the latest Fortuner.

The Etios will be giving Toyota India a push up on the graph sheet, and ensure strong sales in the hatchback variants. Maruti, Tata and Hyundai are already doing good in the hatchback market, the new Etios is expected to make a strong mark with its launch in December.

Gujarat BSNL will be launching the Fiber To The Home network in the city of Vadodara soon. The city has already received the facility of 3G, which has been provided by the state run BSNL. FTTH is a very modern and useful form of network in the field of broadband internet.

The General Manager of BSNL Vadodara circle stated that, they have already started tests on the network and how it will respond in the city. FTTH is network which allows people to receive very high speed internet at their homes. Vide0 watching, audio listening, downloads and virtual classrooms will become more faster and convenient to everyone.

The GM stated that the services in the city will commence within the span of 10 days. The new network is said to have unbelievable speed transfer, and videos, audio and even IPTV will become possible in the homes of the citizens. He also added the BSNL Gujarat will be starting the same sort of network service in other cities of Gujarat, like the city of Ahmadabad at the same time.

Bangalore based retail giant Future Value Retail India Group, has announced that it will be opening additional 60 outlets in all its three segments, in the span of the coming 18 months. This will take the total number of outlets of the group to 249 all over India.

Development will come in all the three segments which are Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, and Fashion Bazaar. The Future Group will be announcing the shopping festival, ‘Mahabachat’ by tomorrow in all its 189 outlets around India. The exact number of segments around India are – 134 Big Bazaars, 50 Food Bazaars and 5 Fashion Bazaars.

The Joint CEO of the Future Value Retail India Group, Sadashiv Nayak, stated that, the group will be opening an additional 60 stores around India, which will push the number of outlets from 189 to 249, in the next 18 months. And he also added that as per the growth is concerned, the Group will experience a 20% growth in revenue by the end of this year.

The prominent Bank of Maharashtra has commenced a new facility called the Maha-E-Trade facility, where the customer can avail this facility for online share trading. The Bank of Maharashtra customers need to have a BOM Internet banking facility with them.

The Bank has started this facility as new state of the art technological facility on the eve of the platinum jubilee of the bank. The Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Allan C.A. Pereira has launched this facility for the bank. This facility will now help the BOM customers to do share trading via the BOM’s Maha-E-Trade facility.

The new facility has been made possible by the collaboration of three major trading houses, i.e. – M/s Religare Securities, Munoth Capital Market ltd., and Enam Direct Securities (P). Ltd. The Maha-E-Trade facility is combination of three facilities offered by the bank, i.e. internet banking, Demat Banking and tranding accounts. The Bank has now made trading in any field easier than ever before.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is on the verge of announcing a new scheme in the next month. A scheme of fresh 15,000 apartments is slated to be announced.

The flats of this new scheme would be in the Jasola, Narela, Vasant Kunj and Dwarka areas of Delhi. Almost as many as 8,000 from these 15,000 are ready for possession and the remaining one’s are on the edge of completion, informed the Vice Chairman of DDA, Ashok Kumar Nigam.

Near around 2000 flats are into their finishing stage in Vasant Kunj. Nigam said, “A number of these flats would become ready for possession once the officials and athletes for Commonwealth Games vacate the same in the middle of October after the mega event. Another, 1500 odd flats, which were also to be completed before the mega sporting event to host the officials and foreigners during CWG, have not yet been completed. They are likely to take another four months till they are ready for possession.”
