American actress Sara Gilbert has recently parted ways with her long time partner Alison Adler. Alison and Gilbert have been together for almost ten years and have concluded their relationship amicably.
Gilbert and the TV producer were dating since the year 2001 and have two children, six year old Levi and a four year old daughter Sawyer. A representative of the actress had confirmed the news of the split.
It was also stated that the separation was an amicable one. Sara had confessed last year that she was a lesbian at a press conference at the Television Critics Association.
The actress also hosts a talk show named The Talk and was asked of she was comfortable being out on The Talk. Sara said that she is not expert on the issue and that it is a whole new world for her. The actress added that she is just living her life. She added that she does not think that being out would be a problem for her and she does not think in terms of being out or in. Sara had then made clear that she is what she is and when topics come up that are appropriate, then she talks about them and shares it when it seems right.
