American singer and songwriter Gavin DeGraw was recently hospitalized after he was assaulted. On Monday the singer was hospitalized for injuries, which included a broken nose, a representative for the musician said.
According to the New York City police spokesperson, DeGraw was attacked by an unknown group of people from the East Village. Till now it is not clear how many people were involved in the attack.
The police has till now not been able to figure out the exact motive of the attack. Certain media reports have said that the singer was out for a drink with his friends.
The 34 year old is currently at the Bellevue hospital , where he was rushed in an ambulance. The singer is in a stable condition and is recovering. DeGraw has suffered some facial cuts along with a broken nose. The singer was due to perform with the bands like Maroon 5 and Train at the Saratoga Springs in New York on Tuesday.
All the groups were touring together during the summer. The lead singer of Maroon 5,Adam Levine had tweeted his support for the injured singer and had appealed the fans to send in their love. Levine also sent his wishes for the singer to come back soon.
