Princess Diana’s digitalized picture sparks fury

The latest issue of Newsweek has published an image of late Princess Diana, who’s picture has been digitally modified. But the image hasn’t been accepted by the readers and media commentators, who claim that the picture is creepy and is exploitative.

The image that has been used as the over page of the July issue of the magazine, shows Princess Diana’s altered image along with the Duchess of Cambridge smiling at her. The image was published as the celebration of the 50th birthday of Princess Diana.

The image had tried to project the image of the princess, if she would have been alive today. There are several images of the late princess that could have bee used by the publication. But instead I went a step further and modified the image digitally and used it for the cover page.

Along with the cover page, an article has been published, written by the editor in chief, Tina Brown, who has described Diana, if she would have been alive in the year 2011. The image of Diana was criticized by the online subscribers of the Newsweek. One of the readers had commented that this was one of the bad attempts to make a buck off a dead woman.
