British singer and song writer Amy Winehouse canceled her upcoming concert in Istanbul on Monday and Wednesday’s performance in Athens. The singer had apologized to her fans for the cancellation of the concerts.
Winehouse while she was attempting to perform on stage at Belgrade, had seemed as if she was under the influence. The singer was even booed off the stage after she had arrived an hour late at the venue.
Amy had even stumbled around , while she some how managed to sing ‘Just Friends’. After the incident, the schedules on Monday and Wednesday in Istanbul and Athens were cancelled.
Last month it was reported that the singer had been to the rehab to deal with the problem of drugs and alcohol. The representative of the singer had confirmed the reports and had said that her visit to the rehab was like a preparation for the current tour. After the incident in Belgrade, Winehouse’s management had issued the statement saying that the singer would not be able to perform at her best in the upcoming dates. And hence Amy would not be able to fulfill the commitments and would return home instead. The statement had also said that she apologizes her fans who had expected to see her perform.
