Forbes list 2011 indicates, President Hu Jintao of China has toppled Barack Obama to grab the title of the Most Powerful Person in the world. India’s Sonia Gandhi has been ranked an impressive ninth on the Forbes List 2011. Jintao is reigning over one fifth of the plant’s population and China has been consistently moving towards a superpower category.
The Forbes Magazine has commented over the Jintao as “unlike Western counterparts, can divert rivers, build cities, jail dissidents and censor internet without meddling from pesky bureaucrats, courts”. And these words are not false for he has shown is ability of work and commitment towards the country since the time he has taken office.
President Obama sits on the number two position followed by Saudi King Abdullah who is termed as the third most powerful man in the world. Mrs Gandhi has been entitled as a person who has wielded unequal influence over 1.2 billion people in the country. A statement describes her as “after being elected as Congress president for the record fourth term she has cemented her status as true heiress to the Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty.”
