Soccer legend from Brazil, Ronaldo, has announced his retirement from international football and this news has come in the form of a shock to everyone near to him. The 34 year old player has been battling from knee injuries and hypothyroidism, and this has been affecting his international football career since a long time.
He was the only player in the world to have scored the most goals in the World Cup, making his record impenetrable. Since two years now, his career has been on the downside, thanks to the injuries he was never able to come out of it. He has spent 18 years playing soccer, and most of this period he has been in Europe.
Ronaldo is most remembered during the World Cup seasons, when his game play was unbelievable, setting him apart from others. When asked about his retirement he said “It’s very hard to leave something that made me so happy” He added, he wanted to continue playing the game but his body was not allowing him to do so.
