Sony has officially won against the PlayStation 3 hacker, where he is now subdued from telling or publishing the ways one can crack the PS3 to use pirated discs on the device. This pulls the line on George Hotz, who is better known for jail breaking the iPhone and Sony PlayStation.
Sony had taken George Hotz to court and had asked him to release the computer equipment which he used to hack the PlayStation 3 gaming device. Sony had officially begun a legal battle against the hackers who had cracked the PlayStation 3, as there are 100 members in the hacking group fail0verflow.
George Hotz had published the security codes of the PS3 on the internet, where the user could use them and disable the device against any pirated discs. Here the owner of the device could run any type of Pirated discs which also contained softwares, leading to growth of Piracy.
