Yahoo Inc. To Lay Off 600-700 Workers, To Be Notified On Tuesday

Yahoo Inc. is all set to lay off around 600-700 workers from the company this month, the announcement and notification of the job cuts will be intimated on Tuesday this week. Yahoo is on the move to stabilize the company, in the form of job cuts, as their growth has been hindered drastically since a couple of years.

Reports also suggest that Yahoo has not made a formal announcement regarding the lay off. The job cuts will compromise around 5% of the total Yahoo work force, in addition to this, it is the fourth time Yahoo has undertaken such a massive job cuts in its company. The decision has been taken under the leadership of Carol Bartz, CEO of the company, who had been appointed two years back.

Bartz is said to be lacking considerably in having experience over the web and advertising industry, a region where Yahoo is specialized on most. The latest job cuts will not be surprising the employees in the company, as a matter of fact the decision of lay off’s was looming above the company since almost a month now.
