China has officially clocked the world’s fastest train at a mind blowing 481 km/h. This is the world’s fastest electric unmodified commercial train, and has broken all speed records set by previous trains. The Chinese railways has stepped into a new phase of rail transport and they will indeed be very proud to have the title of the world’s fastest train.
According to the Xinhua news agency, it reports that the train named the CRH380 was travelling as fast as a low speed air liner, and indeed with speeds as such the people will be preferring trains in the future. For now it has become the fastest locomotive in the world.
It does not become the fastest moving object on tracks but there are trains faster than this existing in the world. For eg. the Japanese Maglev, which clocks more than 500 km/h with ease, but the Maglev is not a conventional train on tracks rather it is a magnetically levitated train.
