Rolls-Royce Finally Discovers The Problem With The Qantas Airlines A380 Engine

Rolls-Royce, the engine manufacturer of the Qantas Airlines A380, has said that it has discovered the problem with engine during the emergency landing incident. Qantas Airlines on the other hand had grounded their fleet of A380’s, which had a thorough check and also investigations. The company identified the specific problem with the Trent 900 engines used on these massive planes.

The investigators have found oil leaks in three engines, which was over the limit of tolerance. The engines from the A380 have been completely removed and have been sent to Roll-Royce to be checked, and they have come very close to identify the main fault with the Trent 900 engines.

Rolls-Royce has said that it will be updating the media about the engine fault by 12th November. The QF 32 flight of the Qantas Airlines was on its way to Sydney from Singapore, when its left wing engine failed completely in mid air, as a result it had to fly back to Singapore to make an emergency landing. After landing it was noticed that the left wing engine had been damaged considerably, for which the airlines had to ground the whole fleet of A380’s they had.
