Indonesia Volcano Mount Merapi Continues To Erupt, Death Toll Increases

The Indonesian volcano, Mount Merapi continues to erupt though this week, as the death toll in the region keeps increasing by the day. It has been reported that seven people have been killed because of the hot ash that has been spewing out of the volcano, and is still showering over the nearby villages.The death toll has now reached 76, and the hospitals in the regions are full of burn injury cases.

As per the official data it has been reported that Mountain has been rumbling and moaning since days now, and it has been spewing hot gas and ash into the sky continuously. The authorities have tried to evacuate almost all the people from the near by villages, but many tend to still stay back.

The temperature of the ash that was showering over the village where the people were killed was measure to be around 450-600 degrees. The officials who were trying to identify the bodies and have now managed to recognize only 11, because the burn injuries on their bodies are just too severe. Most of the people who have died were living as far as 10-20 kms away from the volcano.
