The Brooklyn Bridge in New York had been temporarily closed down for some two hours on Friday, after it was reported that there was a suspicious package found on the bridge. It was later, when the police inspected the package and said the whole thing was just a hoax, after which the bridge was opened for the vehicles.

The incident occurred at around 09.40 am local time, when the package was found on the walkway of the bridge. It was said that this suspicious package was attached with some copper wires, and this panicked the people on the bridge. In a while the whole area was under alert, but later it was known to be just a hoax.
The threat of terrorism is still looming over New York, and other important cities in the US, incidents as such are keeping responsible people always on alert, which would certainly help avoid something bad that could happen to many in a way. But on Friday’s incident, it was turned out to be a safe hoax, and nothing is to be worried about.
