It was a proud moment for India, as Sachin Tendulkar, has been awarded the ICC Cricketer Of The Year 2010. It couldn’t have got bigger than this for Sachin by bagging his first ICC Cricketer of the Year in the event held at Bangalore. On the other hand he lost other major catogories, and one includes the Test Player of The Year, which was won by Virender Sehwag.

Sachin also won the People’s Choice Award at the event, and he stated, that the last season has been very special for him and his team. It was right from the begining of the season, when they won against Sri Lanka, the team just took off from there and were ranked 1 on the Test Team table, something that India dreamt for a long time.
He also took this opportunity in thanking the coach, Gary Kirsten, for it was after his guidance and work, the team’s batsmen are managing to play exceptionally well. He is also a perfect mentor, who himself gets involved with the players on field during the practice sessions. It is also a very auspcious moment for India, as these two players, Sachin Tendulkar and Vireder Sehwag have made India proud by their consistent performance in the game.
