The Mothman is a legendary creature which had been sighted in Point Pleasant Area of West Virginia, U.S.A, in the year 1966. But what was this creature, that has mesmerized most of the people who believe in this folklore for such a long time. Today there are questions rising whether this creature does really exist, or is it just a hoax that has been flowing within the society for decades.
Till date there have been several claims of sighting this cryptic creature, and some even state that they have had closed encounters with it. On the night of 15th November 1966, two couples were travelling in their car and were passing Point Pleasant. At one moment they saw two red lights near a factory gate, after getting closer it looked like the eyes of a creature, which was resembling a large dog, but stood some 7-8 feet tall, with a pair of wings folded in the back.
They stated that, they were terrified after looking at the creature and sped away with their car, but the creature chased them at speeds exceeding 100mph, and then it eventually disappeared. Several stories and claims as such have been circulating in neighborhoods for years now, but what we feel today is that could there be even a single percent of authenticity to their claims.
